Westminster Sizzix Big Shot Pro Shape Cutting Mach I have seen and used other cutters and this machine is not wimpy at all. I really love the machine and would recomend it to any one who quilts and enjoys paper craft and is wonderful for the curch sunday school ...this is a real durable machine , heavy duty for sure ....

Big, Fast and Fun! A new quilter, I weighed several options when it came time to buy a cutting system. But as a seasoned papercrafter, I had a long track record with Sizzix products by Ellison--so I went with the Sizzix Big Shot Pro. One Lone Star quilt later, I'm so happy I did! Why buy this unit? Pros: Accurate cutting with little waste. Speed: I cut all the strips I needed for a quilt in under 15 minutes, first time out of the box. Ease of use--even with mid-life joint problems, I had no trouble cutting eight layers of fabric with this machine. Versatility--I can use all of my Sizzix dies, from tiny thin Sizzlets, to dedicated Pro behemoths. Size--in the papercrafting studio, this model allows me to cut several smaller dies at one time, speeding my projects. Marketing strategy--I am able to use other manufacturer's dies in the Sizzix Big Shot Pro. This was a BIG plus when I compared this machine to the leading competitor. Manufacturer reputation--Ellison has made die-cutting equipment for decades. Availability--Sizzix dies are widely available online, in craft stores and fabric stores; again, in contrast to the competitor's more limited distribution. Finally, price--here at Overstock.com, this device cost about 40% less than the competitor's model. Cons: Size! This unit is LARGE, and requires a very big footprint. It's also heavy; you won't be taking this one with you to crops or classes. Bottom line: this was my pick as an experienced crafter and new quilter. If you want quick, accurate fabric cuts--or are a dedicated papercrafter who wants to speed projects--this is the device for you.

Awesome for both scrapbooking AND cutting fabric! I originally purchased this for scrapbooking to cut larger sized dies such as Spellbinders and to dry emboss larger sized papers, but now I'm loving this for cutting all kinds of strips and triangles for my quilt making. I'M THRILLED WITH THIS BSP FOR BOTH SCRAPBOOKING AND SEWING! Because it's 12 inches wide, I know I will never need to buy a larger cutter in the future because this size is something I will grow into for the future as well as now.

Positive Review Title The Sizzix Big Shot Pro is exactly what I was looking for in a die cutter. It handles 12x12 paper so no cutting down to die cut what I need, the Pro die boxes and bags are a larger size than the Big Shot or Cuttlebug can handle. Although the footprint is large this Big Shot Pro is exactly what I was wanting. The quality of the product is exactly what I would expect from the Sizzix company, Excellent!

What a timesaver!! I haven't cut a whole lot of fabric on this yet but what I have cut has been a dream. I've used Accuquilt Go dies because they were readily available. As I didn't have the shim to make them the right thickness (they are thinner than the Big Shot dies), I found a thin magazine that has worked perfectly. I did cut about 800 2" squares for a quilt one afternoon. It was quick and painless!! I would have never been able to cut them that quickly or accurately without this machine! I'm looking forward to getting more dies and using this baby a whole lot more!! I certainly don't regret this purchase!!
