    • Walking Foot working well

I see lots of people were confused with how to use this item, as it did not come with instructions. Let me help a little. .... the main walking foot item is attached to the post that holds your regular foot. For mine, I had to take my small screwdriver, remove the screw from the left side of the post, and then slide the walking foot in with the large plastic part in the back. The metal piece that has a diamond shaped flat piece and a small rod goes through the hole in the back part of the foot. It is used for a guide when doing parallel lines. The third piece that comes with this is a darning foot, I believe and I have no idea how to use it. But for me the other two pieces are worth their weight in gold, since I am a quilter and mainly do sew in the ditch or cross hatch designs.

    • walking foot is easy to change out

I really like this product. It sews through many layers. As to the users who didn't get instructions, I don't think anyone did-I looked in my sewing machine instruction book to find them, and you should not need a screw. I use a brother se-350, google "brother se-350 how to attach a walking foot" you'll be so happy you did. It's an easy install (I don't think it matters what machine you have, but if you would like to use your brand to google for help, that should work just fine too). If you are sewing through more than 6 layers you may have to help it "walk" just a little, like mitering a denim corner or something like that. I am not sorry I went generic versus name brand. By the way- I love the refurbished brother se-350 embroidery machine I bought here on overstock.

    • Fantastic

Identical product to the one sold by Brother, but $$$$ less expensive. Solved my sewing problem! Thanks!

    • Quilting is so much easier!!

My sister told me that I needed a Walking Foot for my Singer 2263 (a very simple, beginners machine) when I complained about thread snags and breakage while sewing two or more layers together... The Singer site wanted much more for this piece, so I took a chance and went with this "generic" version. It works PERFECTLY! To install it, all I had to do was remove the screw on the left side of the shank, slip the walking foot into place (with the plastic piece on the right side slipped over the needle screw on the right). Done! Took less than 2 minutes to install and I was off and quilting with ease! The fabric slips effortlessly through the machine now, and no more thread snags every 5 inches! LOVE LOVE LOVE this little piece! It will make quilting so much easier for this newbie. :)

    • Product works well

I am a quilting beginner and never used a walking foot. I only knew I needed a low shank foot. Took a chance on this one and it works great on my machine a KOYO model #1230. My only question is the correct use for the other foot that comes with it. Do you turn off or leave on your feed dog?
