Great paper cutter

ekw820 from Colorado, Dec 3, 2009

This paper cutter works very well. I have been using it for about 3 weeks and the blade is still as sharp as it was new, even after cutting paper, cardstock, and even cardboard! The blade and plastic 'finger guard' (which actually holds the paper down while you are cutting) allow you to slice off the thinnest slivers of paper to get an exact measurement. Compared to the Stampin' Up paper cutter, this one works just as well for a better value. The only thing I don't like about it is for any cuts where you need to measure longer than 6 inches, you have to snap on the included ruler extension, which is a slight inconvenience (I'm used to my old slice-style cutter where the ruler just pivots out). Overall, the the benefits far exceed the minor inconvenience.

Great Buy!

scrappylove from North Texas, Oct 23, 2008

I bought this on the recommendation of a friend. I use alot of chipboard in my scrapbooking and using a craft knife and metal ruler was getting old. I love this particular size because it doesn't take up alot of room on my desk. It cuts beautifully and I believe I'll enjoy it for years to come.

Paper Trimmer

tomandbetty from San Antonio, Texas, Aug 22, 2008

It cuts OK as long as you remember to push down on the plastic piece that holds the paper down. If you don't do that, the cut is crooked. It also takes some practice to line up the paper if you want to cut along a line on the paper. Aside from those two things, it works fine. OK for small volume jobs; wouldn't want to use it for big and frequent jobs.
