I teach a lot of classes in thread (ie-bobbin drawing, couching, free-motion quilting, etc.) and this device has saved me so much time. Before the students get to class I set up all my threads on the stand and when I have to change threads it so easy. I just pull down and thread the one I want. It has really speeded up my classes so I can teach more techniques. I also use it at home all the time. I am a contemporary quilter and use lots of different thereads.
