I made two of these stockings for my twin granddaughters. I modified the pattern by giving both children long hair. There was sufficient threads in the kit to complete. The stockings are beautiful and my granddaughters love them! I have been cross stitching for years - have made 20+ stockings - and this pattern is one of my favourites.

I am about 3/4 done with the stocking and I too am running out of certain threads. I thought maybe it was because I had used more thread than required in certain places, but I have checked and I have done as required. I am an old cross stitcher so I have lots of threads from years past so I have been able to match colors to finish the project. It is one of the more detailed stockings I have ever attempted and I think it is going to be one of the nicest and prettiest that I have ever done!

I have been working on this project and while the design is beautiful, there is not enough thred of certain colors. The brown that is part of the top of the name design is also on the wood floor on the bottom of the stocking design and there is one thred for the entire stocking. There needs to be about 6 threads. As I work through this project, I am being extremely conservative on my threads but am running out of colors. The instructions will tell you that you can order more, but since the colors are made especially for the company, you cannot get them at a store. I am trying to make this stocking for my son's first Christmas. I don't imagine that I can get more thread shipped in time to finish the work. I am very sad about this.
