I have been using these pens for years; the only problem in the past few has been finding them in a store. But Overstock.com still has them available. I have my brass-nibbed calligraphy pens for fine work, but for something you can carry in your pocket and depend on its not leaking, these are my constant shirt-pocket companion. I've made a lot of friends over the years with these. When I meet someone new, as a memory aid, I write their name in 20 different fonts and then hand them the 3x5 card. They have a colorful memento of the occasion and people have told me they've kept that 3x5 card on their dresser for decades. They see it every morning and remember the calligrapher who wrote it. The points are hard enough to give you a good, clean line, but soft enough that you can do tricks like turning the point for the down-left strokes of copperplate scripts to make them look proper, the way they never could with the ballpoint pens you were taught with in school. They seem to last quite a long time, but, at this price, it's nice to have another pen, another color, waiting for me when this one finally goes dry. And they never leak in my pocket the way my brass-nibbed fountain pens do.
