for the price it does what it says. it would be handy to have the power converter the thing eats batteries like a remote control car. Other than the fact it eats 4 AA batteries in about 6 feet of sewing it works good.

Seriously, this is worthless. I sent it back the same day I got it. Thread kept breaking and it would not sew through a very thin velvet.

Small and simple handy sewing machine works good. It would have been great if it is equipped with cables for external power connectivity.

It's small, and good for minor repairs, but the seams aren't as strong as they are in larger sewing machines. I have to make multiple passes to get what I consider a solid, strong seam. For the price and the very rare occasions I need a sewing machine it's IDEAL! Also, I have very fast feet. This fact is undisputed.

Much more practical than pulling out the big machine. So easy to handle. Sews as well as the bigger ones too.

I bought this machine because it looked easy to use. If you are a beginner like me it is not easy to use.

This machine couldn't manage to sew the fabric of a very thin comforter cover together. It gets stuck, it sews poorly, and it seemed to lack the power to do the job. (I had new batteries in it)I highly recommend that you don't waste your money on this. Just get a portable machine that actually works. This machine is not useful in any way.

I haqve not been able to work this from day. After struggling to get all the batteries in place and keep them there, I pressed the button and it sewed about three stitches. It will not work at all. Take my advice, don't buiy it. It's a piece of junk and I'm surprised at Singer's putting out such a product.

on/off trigger got stuck on first use, and continues to get stuck every time I use this.....I should say attempt to use it. I have had it for about a year now and still can not get it to work properly!!!!!!!

I purchased this hand-held sewing machine so I would not have to drag my bid machine out for small fixes. This machine works like a charm, even though it only chain stitches. It is also great for popping in your suitcase for making those repairs needed when traveling. I am glad that I made the purchase.

this is a bad, bad product! I bought it so I could make small repairs. I wasn't expecting anything too great from it, just expecting to do some hemming and that was about it. i decided to start with a thicker fabric first, just to see what the machine could do. of course, it didn't work. but i was kinda expecting that already. so i tried on a thin fabric. and still didn't work. it would break the thread ALL THE TIME, and threading that machine is the worst!! the eye of the needle is so so so small that i had to actually get the needle OUT of the machine in order to get it done. awful! and to make things even worst, it misses most of the stitches, and then you have to start over again. and then the thread breaks. it's a whole nightmare. i'm keeping it because for some reason i had some rewards and the machine came for free and with free shipping, so sending it back would be a whole lot of work. it did come on time, overstock is absolutely amazing, never in my life i had problem with them, the only bad thing they have is this machine still for sale. so just to make it clear: IT'S A PIECE OF JUNK, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I got the for my daughter. She is still working with it. But so far it runs well and can get small jobs done. Good not having to get out the big machine. It comes with extra tools that comes in handy. Its well worth the price. Buy it....

I found this machine difficult to operate. In order to hold the fabric straight and pass it through the needle, I needed another set of hands to hold the machine steady. The stitching was perfect however. Overall, it was a poor substitution for hand sewing. MS in MA.
