Great to have multiple sizes of tiny needles.
I was happy to get all the sizes at once. Never know what gauge you're going to knit to, so it's good not to have to run to the store all the time -- where they might or might not even have the smaller sizes in this set. I call them lace needles, not sock needles!

best sock needles around
these are for knitting socks, not repairing them (unless you're re-knitting the heels or toes). they are lightweight, unlike the KnitPicks metal needles, and the points are perfect, not too sharp, not too blunt. I have 2 sets of these so I can make matching socks (work a little on one sock, work a little on the other). I do not enjoy the 2 socks on 1 or 2 circ's method---dpn's are much faster and I have no issues with gaps. These are the way my grandma knits, and my mother, and myself---and after hundereds of pairs, this is the way to go! for sock knitting tips visit the socknitters dot com group on yahoo groups. But most of all, BUY THESE NEEDLES!

Great Bargain for 4 sets of needles!
I bought two sets of these so I could do both socks at once, and they are a pleasure to knit with. Even though they are called a sock set, which is mainly what I bought them for, they are great for lots of knitting. I plan on doing some doilies also with them, plus I am interested in learning to knit miniatures, so they will be getting lots of use soon. I love the fact that there is 5 of each needle, as I always knit with 5, but even if something happens to one needle, you will still have a complete set, so it is like getting a spare for free! One thing though, the size 1 needles are actually SILVER!
