  After research, I decided that this machine fit my current needs. I almost bought it from another company, when I remembered that I had promised not to make any purchased without first checking prices at Overstock. Sure enough, the price was 100 dollars less. Arrived in timely fashion, well packaged. I am so thrilled with my machine and am working on 2 quilts and have done some smaller projects. Yeah!

  Be careful when cutting the fabric. Only enough is given for the amount required. Make no cutting mistakes! The directions are well written and precise. You will need to follow them to the last detail. I love the challenge of making a 'diamond' quilt. I highly recommend this quilt kit.

  Even being the owner of 6 sewing machines I was afraid to buy a serger because they looked so complex to thread and operate. When I realized how much sewing time I was wasting by not having a serger I decided to take the plunge. After a lot of research I decided on the American Home. This is a well built machine, easy to operate and thread. One of the great things about this serger is that it focuses on the fact that a buyer may never have used a serger before. The manual is very precise and user friendly and the enclosed DVD explains the operations of the machine clearly. It took me about 5 minutes to thread the serger for the first time and to have it up and sewing. The machine is a marvel. After sewing for over 30 years I can't think of anything this machine will not accomplish. I'd recommend it to anyone, either a novice or an experienced sewing enthusiast..
