Love this machine! Easy to use! The only thing I don't like about it is the fact it is very light weight and often moves when I am working on my quilts. Otherwise, I love the machine..

Compared to my old machine, the Brother is fast and smooth in operation. I have not yet used all the computerized features. I am new to quilting and the machine came with extra quilting attachments; this was an extra selling point. I look forward to having the time to sit and just 'sew and try out the machine's many features'. Thanks for great service and great products.

The reason I bought this was that my sister gave me a gift certificate for a quilting class. I had a quilt my mom started for my daughter and passed away before finishing it. I promised her I would finish it. I was having a hard time figuring out her sewing machine so I went to this quilting class and the woman had purchased six of these machines. It was soooo easy to use. I was trying to finish stuff at home on the old machine and was getting frustrated so my husband told me to order the same one that was down at the quilting class. I was so excited when it came. I was showing my daughters all the stiches and how easy it was to switch between stiches and feet and all and I'm learning a lot with this machine. It came in great packaging and only in a few days. i plugged it in and started using it right away. Its very light weight to take to classes. the book that comes with it helps and is easy to follow. Good investment and my girls like using it too. I've finished the quilt too!!!

I really like this sewing machine. I bought it to replace another Brother that I had. My only issue has been that the foot pedal quit working, so I had to get a new one from a Brother Sewing Service center. I have made 5 Quilts since I got it in January.

This is a lot of machine for the price. I love the features and the ease of changing the stitch without having to go through an "act of congress". It's easy to thread, easy to fill the bobbin and to know when your bobbin thread is getting low due to the transparent bobbin cover. However, if I had to pick the best feature it would be the photo frame on the front. I put my favorite photo of my handsome husband in it and I ABSOLUTELY love looking at him when I'm using my sewing machine! It, also, has a quilting table attachment that is pretty darned nifty, too. Go for it - it's a real jewel.

Great Product for the price. It looks great and is easy to use. Broke a needle at first but there were replacements with the machine. Everything needed to first start sewing was included. Wonderful. Thanks.

I love this sewing machine, because it's not loud. The lighting is great and the numbers are easy to see. I would certainly recommend this machine to my family and friends that do sew. It's great. :-)

Very pleased. Have had a Singer machine that purchased in 1974 and is still functional but currently unavailable so I needed a new machine. I am still learning it but am very impressed with it's features. I did review the dvd that was sent with it and found that it was extremely useful and not drawnout... I would definitely recommend this machine and ease of operation.

I am very satisfied with the service and the product. The pkg arrived in less than a week and was easy to thread and use . It took a few tries to learn the needle threader but once I found out how, it has worked just fine everytime. I like all the different special stitches and the feet that came with it. I love my new Brother

Supposed to have been a refurbished machine, but I suspect it was simply repackaged and shipped. The machine had a chip out of the body. Also notes placed by first owner to mark settings were still on the machine. Setting the thread tension is difficult and occasionally impossible. I have used this machine for 5 weeks now and I think I will regret this purchase.

there is NO WAY this machine was "refurbished"!!!!!! It has never sewn right from day one..it skips stitches, breaks thread, grabs multiple threads from the bobbin, the gears or clutch either engage or disengage causing thread to bunch up...does'nt matter what material or needle size, new bobbin ,new thread..its just junk!!!!!!

DISSATIFIED....I only had my machine for 2 months looking to buy a janome or Phaff....The Brother SE400 has a lot of features but the machine is cheaply made...Bobbin always get tangled....Used one of the pressed feet one time it broke...sews slow...

I tried my new sewing machine today for the first time. It does a lot of various stitches and buttonholes. I like the computerization - makes it simpler. A little tension trouble right at first but after sewing on it a little while it seemed to work itself out. It is lightweight so I can take it with me if I need to. Overall, I think a good machine for the price and features it offers.

I found my order was cancelled with no notification of the cancellation to me. I bought this item as a birthday present for my granddaughter and am just plain angry that I wasn't notified. I found this cancellation when I tried to find the tracking number to see when it would be delivered. VERY VERY DISSATISFIED!!!

In actuality, needles need to be chosen on a project-by-project basis, with the weight and texture of your fabric in mind.
