Love this machine! Easy to use! The only thing I don't like about it is the fact it is very light weight and often moves when I am working on my quilts. Otherwise, I love the machine..

I waited to long to get my embroidery machine! I kept reviewing all the other brands but kept coming back to this one... So glad I got it! Easy to use from the moment I plugged it in...

I don't normally sew, but this machine made it easy. easy to operate, a little difficult to get the thread in all the righ places, but once its set up it works great.

I have not used the machine very much so far because of the holidays. I have sewen alot of stitches to test the machine and it has done a really good job. The stitches are regular and true and I am very pleased with everything it has done so far. I would recommend the machine to anyone who needs a basic machine for simplistic stitching. And, I think the price was really good, too.

After trying desperately to get a copy of the warranty and clarification about it being a factor refurb prior to sale I took a chance and ordered this. It arrived and turns out to be a factory refurb with a 25-year (very) limited warranty. It's really just one year parts and labor - 25 years is for the non-mechanical frame. Still, despite the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act requiring that written warranties be inspectable by consumers prior to purchase, Overstock would not supply the written warranty and their information on the site is very confusing - saying there is a 20-year factory warranty. The 25 year warranty is available for review on the Brother web site. So, in the end, things turned out very well, and delivery was quick and the product is excellent for the price. Overstock needs to correct the information on their site regarding this product, at least, and perhaps for other Brother products where the warranty is 25 years, not the 20 that they state on the site. The product is 100% complete and works as advertised - many features for not very much money, and the refurb pricing is superb. Will it last long-term? Impossible to say at this point.

This is a very good sewing machine when you follow directions given in the manual. Actually, it is quite amazing in many ways! It seems reliable and dependable. A good machine for a beginner.

I have done several monograms with the machine and really like the outcome. I would use it more if it weren't the Christmas season and I have so much to do.

This sewing machine is very easy to use. It light weight. I like this stitch selections. I have a little experience using a sewing machine. This sewing machine is very friendly. I have not needed to use the instruction manual yet. My only complaint is that I would like for it to sew a little faster. Definitely, a good sewing machine for beginners and intermediates.

This is a great simple sewing machine. It has the basic stitches necessary to get the job done, nothing fancy though. I bought it as a gift for my grandma who only uses it for hemming pants and sewing lighter materials. I was pretty surprised though when she let me borrow it and I used it to sew a heavier fabric and it worked great! It handled it much better than I thought. It's not too light though and I know that it is advertised as "lightweight". It has more mechanical parts seeing that it's not electronic or computerized so I guess it's lightweight compared to other mechanically based sewing machines. It's top speed is also much faster than I thought. I have a Brother SQ-9000 and this machine has a faster top speed than my SQ-9000. This machine also has a nice compartment that opens up which makes it easy to clean out the dust and fuzz that gets caught underneath due to normal sewing. Great machine for the price and Brother makes great machines so you know you're always getting a deal. The only reason I knocked it down a star is because the title is misleading. It says 35 stitch function but the machine only does 14 stitches. Not sure what they mean by "stitch functions"

This is my third time typing this. Overstock times you and kicks you out after so long...So fraustrating!!!! Anyhow, good machine. I am a beginner and came across this because it affordable, simple to use and HEAVY DUTY. I did not care for all the fancy knobs and stitches because my original intent was to make curtains and use leather materials. It is quiet and runs smoothly. I have been using this for about 6 months and have not had any problems with it. Con: Janome covers cost more than the machine. Yes, I can buy a universal one but I prefer my stuff staying consistent. Beginners: Highly recommend buying the insurance for alittle more. Nothing worst than a dead machine. Overall. I love this. So glad i purchase this over a Brothers one at Walmart!

I am a big fan of Brother products, however, this embroidery machine is not what i expected. The thread is constantly breaking even though i use the recommended type. The hoop is very "tricky" to put on, although sometimes it works like a charm. I took a class which i paid 85.00 an hour for to help with the learning process and to ensure i was using it as it was made to be. I bought it because it was what i could afford at the time and do not regret it because i did learn that I love to create items that can be personalized. I will purchase another embroidery machine but one that is more user friendly. This is a situation that fits that old saying, you get what you pay for.

This machine is AWESOME! I love it! I was looking for a nice embroidery machine. I also like that it is embroidery only. This one is more affordable and does all of the same things as the others then some. For example the ability to rotate embroidery in 1-, 10-, or 90-degree increments. The first day I got it I was able to get some embroideries going and they looked great! Stitching is beautiful and directions are simple. After upgrading from an old embroidery/sewing machine, I LOVE the USB feature! This machine is SO much fun to use! Just tried applique for the first time and it came out so CUTE! Going to be doing a lot more of that!

I was delighted with this machine when I first received it, but after owning it for less than six months it now needs to be professionally repaired for the second time. It has been used lightly and intermittently for making a small number of quilt tops for charity, involving straight stitch piecing of cotton fabric, and zigzag basting through lightweight filler of two quilts. Now it is semi-jammed, meaning it will not sew a straight seam, but rather begins to sewing a few stitches and then jams momentarily, then resumes a few stitches, then jams. It seems to have nothing stuck to clean, and replacing the needle with another new needle did not help. I have been sewing for 50 years, and previous sewing machines never jammed like this, even with many periods of very heavy use, including making denim clothes with pockets and wool coats and cloaks. The first time this jammed after minimal use I sent it to Brother for repair, and it came back working well, although I did not notice until over a month later when I took the walking foot off and wanted to straight stitch that the needle threader was missing the hook and so it no longer functioned. This time I would like to scrap this machine. Note: My mother's old treadle machine that I learned to sew on is still working after all these years, but this Brother XL3750 didn't last six months, or actually even a few months before the first breakdown.

Love the machine except I would have liked to of had more choices of fonts and patterns for embroidery. Really hard to find the cards and software to have more choices and the ones I've found are expensive and you would think for what the machine costs there would be more options at reasonable prices.

Great machine, easy to use for a beginner like me. Refurbished means brand new in this case...better than I expected.

This machine is easy to operate and lighter weight than my last portable. I would have liked a cover with a pocket to put the peddle, cords and accessories. I've already made a bag for a granddaughter and embroidered it.
