  I think the machine is ok for a quick fix when your sewing machine is unable to wind bobbins, which is the case on my machine (needs fixing). It should also be geared to handle large spools. To me it's ok, little fragile machine.

  The Brothers PPE770 appears to be a very good machine. I'm a beginning and have never emboidered before. The machine has a tutorial built in and has many designs. My only wish is that it had a video to showing step by step operation.

  I have used the embroidery functions both with the patterns in the machine and a pattern downloaded to the machine. The stitching is very detailed and the machine runs very smoothly. This is the 3rd Brother machine I have purchased. The first one was also a refurbished basic sewing machine and 7 yrs after purchasing it still runs fine. Other than a few scratches on the machine you would never know this is not a brand new machine.
