`I love this table. It fits all my tools for Scrapbooking very nicely. I am able to keep projects I am working on out and safe from the cat and the kids simply by closing the lids. I am now more organized and can sit and work at a moments notice without having to worry about getting out all the material for the project I am working with. I didn't give the table 5 stars because the 1 annoying thing is that the lid locks stick out when the table is open and get in my way. I worry that i might break one of them. BUt other than that the table is a keeper. I shopped for a few months before purchasing this table from Overstock.. they had by far the best price and it was delivered in a week. Thank you OS
This table is based on a sound idea. There are a few ergonomic problems with its design, however, that make it less than the perfect work surface. FIRST, whomever designed it did not take into account average table height as this table is a good 3-4 inches too tall - and this comes from someone who is not challenged in the height department. I've been contemplating sawing off the legs a bit to make it a more comfortable height. SECOND, I like that you can cram your stuff on the inner work surface and close up the top; however, the "flaps" that make up the top sort of hang off to the sides in just the right way to catch your leg as you walk by, thus imperiling the work on the inner surface. And don't get me started on the latches! I do bead work and I'm forever getting necklace wire wrapped around one. THIRD, I haven't tried this yet, but I'm thinking whatever you have inside the table needs to be packed in pretty tight to keep it from rolling around each of the inside spaces. If you are a small item crafter, this aspect of the table's functionality is ambiguous at best. Again, this is a great concept that needs a redesign to make it truly functional. I recommend it with a half-hearted "Whoo-hoo."
I went back and forth on whether to get this table as I am a scrapbooker but my supplies are stored inconveniently in the basement. I was looking for a solution where I could set up at a moments notice and scrap while I watched TV. The table came and it looked useful enough. As other reviewers mentioned, the sides that make the lid seem a bit useless but that's OK. I went to use the table while I sat on the couch and being short, couldn't even comfortabley reach the top - so I grabbed my son's kitchen chair that has the "kaboost" on the bottom to boost me up to the table. I began to work and when I was done I tried to assess how I could keep what I was working on "in" the table for next time. Well first off - my album is too fat - I couldn't even begin to try to close the lids with my book in there - and I do work out of my album. None of my other supplies really fit either and I was finding that while the concept was clever, it didn't really work out for me. So now I have this too tall table that really doesn't have any more benefits then that of a folding table. I would not buy this again and it may end up in next year's garage sale.
We recently moved to a smaller apt and had to downsize. I was willing to give up a lot but not my crafts! this Scrap n Stow is perfect. I can have an organized place to scrapbook and fold it up and have it out of the way when not using it. with it closed I can use it to cut out patterns or even as a serving table. I could not wait to get it and I love it.
Great idea. The table stows only some cardmaking supplies. Wish it were deeper. Also, Would like to have legs on the 2 tops to support them when open......hence lots more work space. Otherwise, glad to have it and would recommend it to any crafter as extra workspace and storage area.
I am very pleased with this table. It is quite sturdy. The wheels on the end make transporting much easier, but if you are lifting into your car, it is fairly heavy. When completely closed, it can be easily stored against a wall or in a closet. When the top is closed it can be used as a utility table. I find it quite useful. My only real issue is when I am crafting, the clamps that hold the top closed are constantly in the way and catch on my clothes. I have taken to taping them to the table in the closed position to alleviate this problem, and now I don't have that minor annoyance to deal with. I would totally recommend this to anyone who does crafts. I will get plenty of use from this!
This product was exactly as stated. It is absolutely wonderful for scrapbooking projects. It's alittle on the heavy side but definitely worth it. Love it and the shipping was very fast and comprable.
Received as a gift and agree with others it's too high. So far, I have done a paint by number on it with the sides up. I am anxious to start scrapping on it. I placed it in our living room as we also have gameroom and family room. It is large so happy I have a spare room for it.
I really enjoy my craft table. It's quite large - but that means I have a lot of room to do my crafts! I love that it folds up and I can easily put it away when I have guests who need to sleep in my craft room. It's heavy (in a good way) and well constructed. It has many places to hold your crafting tools, and craft material while you work. I do recommend this product - but it's not for tiny spaces.
We purchased this table for our 6 yr old daughter to do crafts and it did not disappoint. The table came assembled and was easy to fold out and set up. All of the slots on the top are perfect for all of the little items that usually make a mess on the floor! It has wheels to transport if need be as well. It was a great buy.
I absolutely love this table! I have two cats that love to lay on my tables and ofcourse any paper laying around. Not to mention playing with my ribbons and embellishments. I can work on a layout and when it is time for bed and I am not quite done, fold it all up and go about my business. No worries about the cats getting into it & I don't have to put everything away, therefore taking up more time of getting it all back out the next time. The compartments help me keep things separated and better organized while I am scrapping. I keep my table up most of the time but the wheels and handle do make it nice when I need to put it away.
I really like the table and how it has so much room for all of the things you need to have right at your finger tips. The one thing I am not as pleased with is that it is a little tall. I am rather short and that didn't help. Over all I really like this table.
Great table for storing supplies while you crop. All compartments have ample space and are easily in arms reach. The only drawbacks are that you can't sit in a non-adjustable chair because the table is too high and you have to lift it up to a chair to open and turn it to the upright position. Because I have a bad back, this was a bit challenging, but manageable. A personal annoyance, is that the left side latch does not stay up and my left arm hits it often while cropping.
I love this table. I have set it up in my family room so I can scrap and be with my family as well. And, the nice thing is that if we plan on having visitors, I can fold it up and move it out of the way. I enjoy scrapping on this table so much I find myself not using my craft room as much and spending more time working from this table. The only con I have found is it sits a little high from what I am used to but I am getting adjusted to the height and it is really not a concern anymore...in fact, I am beginning to like the new height. This could be a problem for a shorter person though. I am extremely happy with it and glad that I made the purchase.
