  • Nice little scissors

I needed a small pair of scissor to snip threads on my sewing projects. These are excellent. Very sharp to get very close to the material.

    Just what I wanted

    May 17, 2012

    susie12345  from Houston, Rating:5.0

Rather than spend $25 to get some very expensive pinking shears sharpened, I thought I'd just get an inexpensive pair and see how they worked. They were just what I wanted - inexpensive and sharp. The handles probably open more completely and efficiently for someone with larger hands, but I'm willing to take shorter cuts when they cut this cleanly!

I use these when sewing and doing machine embroidery - they were just as described and just what I was looking for.

  • Excellent for fibromyalgia patients.

    Aug 12, 2014

    xrdh  from Spokane, WA, Rating:5.0

I purchased these shears, as well as the spring action pinking shears, for my friend with fibromyalgia. She had called me over to cut out a Santa Clause suit she was making, because her hands couldn't handle the strain of cutting the heavy material. When I started cutting the pattern, I realized that even my hands couldn't handle the strain. She had me use some excellent quality, very expensive, but old fashioned (traditional), heavy metal shears that she lovingly kept in it's original box. There was no way to adjust it enough to make it open quick and easy enough to relieve the strain. The next day I ordered her these shears. She reported back to me that, after an initial learning curve where she pinched her hands a few times, she absolutely loves them. She has thanked me many times for gifting her with these wonderful scissors.

I wasn't sure I wanted to spend the money to buy these snips but it was well worth the investment. Not only can I complete my rag edge projects in less time but also saves a lot of wear and tear on my hands. The quality is excellent and I'm sure I'll have these snips for many years. Love it!
