Threads on color-coded cards are easy to identify.
When I asked my daughter-in-law to choose a Christmas stocking for me to make her new baby daughter, I was not excited when she chose counted cross stitch. [I promised myself after my last kit not to do any more of it.] But this kit take out much of the frustration with the pre-sorted, color-coded threads and the red, green and black chart is crystal clear, helping to see the demarcation line between parts of the design. All instructions are clear and well described.

thin pattern
Very cute pattern BUT after following all instructions I had to go over the stalking the SECOND time for a 'double' layer because I could still see the white under the stitching. Had to buy extra thread. To save yourself time and frustration, do the double of the number of threads advised or your pattern will look very 'thin' and see through in my opinion.
