Omni rulers are consistent in their sizing. 1/4 inch is always 1/4 inch as it should be. The non-slip feature is excellent, keeps the ruler from sliding as much as you cut fabric. I love this product. The bright lines make reading measure increments easy. great product, great price

Our handy man accidently broke my favorite plastic ruler so I needed to purchase this one for paper crafts, card-making. The only complaint I have is that the orange markings are a little difficult to see well. I liked my other one better.

A quilt I was working on had cuts sized other than 2.5" so it was a bit more difficult to use. However, for cuts in increments of 2.5", this is an invaluable tool. I think I would have used a stronger plastic due to the size of the ruler. The large size warrants something a bit sturdier.

I misplaced my previous lip edge craft ruler and was pleased to find this ruler. I love the sturdy, clear plastic material, making it easy to see the material underneath. I love the lip edge, making it easy to square up before cutting. Very glad to have this craft ruler to assist me in my sewing, etc. projects.

I cannot believe that I have not purchased this product before now. It is a very simple design, easy to fold and store. I do not have a separate sewing room so I really like the fact that I can hang it temporarily with removable plastic hooks. The flannel is thick and grabs the pieces of my quilt easily and holds them in place. It is very helpful to see the grid lines from the plastic back through the flannel as I lay out my quilt squares. Great product, great design, I love it.

After I received this ruler, I didn't open it for a couple days before using. After taking the plastic off the ruler I noticed a small crack. I called customer service, explained the circumstances and without question they stated they would send me out a replacement. I was very surprised at this and will continue to shop on Overstock.

Follow the directions exactly, very important to make sure the fabric is placed under the ruler folded so that the grain of the fabric is straight. There are lots of videos showing how to do this. I have cut up to 6 layers, or 3 different fabrics folder in half with little problems, like any cutting a sharp blade is required. I use 2 small 3 lbs dumbbells to hold the ruler in place and have not had an issue with the ruler slipping. The plastic is thicker than I expected based on other reviews. The ruler is a little wobbly when you pick it up and move it around but that is probably due to the many slots in the ruler as much as the type of material.

Directions and diagrams on back. Great ruler, cuts triangles from strips, if you place the right sides of what will be your finished square together, you'll get a perfect angle with seam allowances, chain piece those together and away you go. Also use to square up a folded sewn square so you only have to trim two sides to get a squared up square. Love it, squares up, and angles up to from 2 1/2" to 10 1/2''. Happy with this purchase. Also own a 6 in square up and a 12 inch square up and don't regret adding this to my collection. Side note- Love the "Grippers" handles- both the full handle and the mini, and the plastic no slip stick on I purchased to stop my rulers from sliding, worthy self gifts for the holidays.

the lip of the ruler rests against the cutting mat and produces an accurate cut . The ruler does not move.

I bought this to replace the ruler I finally broke after 20 years of regular use. I have taught quiltmaking 17 years, and I always recommend Omnigrid. The rule was well-packaged.

This quilters ruler is an absolute necessity for accurate fabric cutting. As a quilter, i wouldn't want to be without this ruler and the various angles and cutting lines are valuable for the different cuts for patterns. Highly recommend.

I loved this short O'lipfa so much I also bought a 36-in one for cutting off fabric from yardage. Works (for me) very well, especially the lip edge and the grid on the ruler top. I haven't used the angled bias lines yet, but I expect they will be useful as well. Recommended!

The description of this ruller is miseading. It is NOT non-slip. Otherwise it is accurate and helpful when cutting fabric with a rotary blade and a self-healng mat.
