The sewing machine did a decent job of what was expected of it. It is portable ,light weight and can be connected to the supply or be battery operated (DC charger/batteries not included). Having the machine Connect to supply was convenient...instead of using batteries.
I bought this for my 6 year old Grandaughter. She has used it twice, then the batteries died. Does not take a normal A/C adapter and we've yet to get one that does fit. It's fine for a toy but for real sewing? No. But at 20.00 it shouldn't be other than a toy. Good for kids.

It appeared to be fairly well built, but after numerous attempts at using this machine, I threw it out. It would not sew consistently - even when powered with cord. It is easier to hand sew.
You are not going to sew a dress with it, but it is great for small fixes. Worked right out of the box. Fast learning curve. Did what would have taken 2 hours by hand stitching in 15 minutes. Would definaltely recommend.
Overstock is a little slow on shipping, but for only $2.95 total shipping charges I can live with that
