Not for the Faint of Heart
This stocking will be adorable when I finish it...maybe by NEXT Christmas. This kit is not for a novice, someone in a hurry, or someone with bad eyesight. There are many tiny pieces to be cut out, embroidered, stuffed, sewn on. There are 87 steps (relating to pieces to be sewn on), but most steps have multiple parts. For instance, steps 4-7 are holly leaves. For each step there are six leaves, each of which must be embroidered, then cut out, then sewn on. It is more like 72 steps than 4. That being said, this stocking is really pretty and sweet. The directions are relatively easy to follow; the parts are clearly marked. If you start on July 4, you will probably have it completed in time for Santa.
