Great product
The Slice is amazing! It can be used in so many different crafts- from scrapbooking to wall art. I am currently using it to cut out stencils for fabric to add to my daughter's onesies. The only negative comment that I have is that the glue that comes with the Slice did not work for me. When mine arrived, the glue was watery and chunky and therefore did not spread over the cutting mat and wasn't sticky. It took a while for me to figure out the best way to fix this problem. First, I used the spray adhesive that I had on hand which worked well at first. However, apparently it is only repositionable at first and then becomes permanent. And they mean permanent. I spent the next 15 minutes trying to scrape the extra paper off the mat using nothing but scalding hot water and elbow grease! (You cannot use any kind of chemical cleaner on the mat.) Next I tried a glue stick which worked ok, but was lumpy. I recently purchased Krylon repositionable spray adhesive b/c many other reviewers mentioned that it worked well. I haven't used it yet, but am planning to try it soon. You can always purchase more Slice glue but it is a little pricey and I didn't want to spend more money on it in case I had the same problem I did before. Otherwise, I love this product. You have to hold it down to use it which I thought would be inconvenient as compared to other die cut machines, but you don't have to put much pressure on it and the Slice works so fast that it isn't a problem at all. Also, I was worried about being able to get the most of the paper as several other reviewers mentioned that it was hard to determine where it was going to cut and therefore some of the paper was wasted. I have not had this problem at all. The base is clear so you can see right where the cutting blade is going to start and in addition, the screen shows you where on the letter/word/picture that the blade will start to cut. Also, the base has a ruler on it (and you know what size you chose for your cut) so you can make the most of your paper pretty easily. I already own a Xyron die cut machine and was not happy with it all. It had so many flaws that it was nearly unusable. The Slice did what that machine wouldn't and then some. Overall, the pros vastly outweigh the cons for this product.

Great Deal!
I saw this machine at a local retailer for $170 (just the machine itself) and started researching online. At their own website for around the same price, you get all you see here - the paper selection, the drawing and embossing tools, design ideas, the basic designs card, glue, a sponge, etc. The magnificent difference is that you get everything they offer at their own website, but for only a fraction of the price. I'd never used Overstock.com before, but I fully intend to continue after this.

I would recommend this for product to any one likes crafting. My nine year old is enjoying more than I am.

Great Deal
Just received my new slice this morning and I couldn't wait to use it so I decided to try out some words and shapes and it worked great!!! at first I was abit worried about the glue and holding the slice but I had absolutely no problem....its very easy and fast. I love that the package comes with all the extras so I could get started right away and also its the best deal I've seen. Can't wait to buy some fabric too and start cutting too.

Got this bundle in early August and am loving it! Gotten a variety of design cards and am keeping busy making titles and flourishes for scrapbook pages and making homemade cards! I've read several reviews citing problems but fortunately, I've had none.

Fun Package
This was a fun package to purchase. It comes with enough paper, velum, and vinyl to start cutting right out of the box. I loved playing with the marker tips and embossing tips. They are easy to change back and forth. Although I purchased some of the spray adhesive, the glue in the tube last forever. I cut for about three days before having to wash it off and reapply. Now I want the Slice Fabrique so I can cut fabric this quick and easy too.

Good things DO come in small packages!
This unit is similar to the Cricut cutter in what it does (paper die-cuts) but with most of the same features (maximum cutting size is much less-4") but at 1/4 the size of the Cricut this unit TRULY is portable. I love that I can just keep it in any small area and then grab it with one hand and set it up on my coffee table even when it is already half covered with other stuff. It weighs practically nothing. It is easy to use and even better when combined with the hands free set-up. One has to hold the unit while cutting to keep it from moving but the hands free unit which works with a strong magnet eliminates that little inconvenience. I highly recommend the Slice machine for anyone who just wants to do paper-crafting at a nonprofessional level. The results are very professional looking, it just can't cut the larger sized cutouts that a professional user might need. I love my little Slice machine!!!!! So much in fact that I bought a second one to use with the neighborhood kids when they come over.
