Top notch
Became partially blind in the last few months. I'm able to do a variety of projects especially the very technical sewing maching work. Light weight but sturdy. Perfect for anyone and an excellent gift at any time.

oops, have to retrun. buyer error
I thought this magnifier was smaller than it is. I'm sure it would be great for someone that is going to use it for what it was designed for. I wanted it for occasional use and it is too big for my purposes so I am returning it. My fault, I'm sure. I apparently didn't pay close enough attention to the dimensions of the product.

Great for jewelers!
I'm a budding wire artists and this was perfect for me to see the smaller wraps and twists of my work. Nice sized glass, steady base, and bendable to perfect angles. I wish the light was a bit brighter, but that's my only complaint. I would highly recommend this product for jewelers, beaders, stamp collectors...anything that would need magnification. And, as always, Overstock.com shipped the item quickly and in perfect condition.

Very lightweight and unstable. May be useful as a handheld but poor design for a standing magnifier.

I got this for my dad for his bday and he loves it. The base is plastic but very sturdy.
