I purchased this book with the intention of making several shawls as gifts for friends. The patterns are very nice, although the specific yarn they used is hard to find. I am hoping to substitute yarn that is more readily available to make Christmas gifts.

The patterns included in this book are beautiful. There are patterns for both crochet and knitting, and each pattern is shown in beautiful photographs.But I found this to be more than an inspirational and simple book about crafting prayer shawls. It is devoted to helping form a groups committed to reaching out using the shawls as gifts of comfort, beauty and blessings.You will love it!
