Great Machine! I am very happy because it is a "true" sewing machine. It works just like a large sewing machine but it is very easy to use. It is very easy to handle and very easy to move and travel with. I am a picky sewer, but I'm very, very pleased with this machine and it's stitch quality! It would be a great starter machine for younger people or a good second machine for the experienced sewer. It would also be ideal for a sewer that needs a easily transportable "travel" machine. A real winner!
Bought this as a birthday present for my niece so that I could teach her to sew. Adorable machine; I was very excited to give it to her. It worked well for 20 minutes, and then the needle no longer picked up thread from the bobbin. I am experienced at sewing and was sure I could figure it out, but I had no luck getting it to work again. Big disappointment. Will be sending this back.
I almost gave up on sewing altogether because I just could not work my Brothers sewing machine. It was very fustrating trying to thread it correctly. When I saw this little Janome, I thought I could use it just to do quick mending or little projects. This machine was so easy to use right out of the box, I could not believe it. Easy to thread, easy to sew, I absolutely love it !!!! I love it so much I ordered a bunch of sewing craft books and am looking into buying a 2nd Janome machine with a little more features to do more upscale projects. I also found out what a great reputation Janome machines have. I am hooked!!!! I highly recommend this little machine for anyone who wants something small due to space, super light, super easy to use.
Recipient said they are 100% pleased with machine. A little loud was the only non positive thing I had heard from them. But they said it sews very smoothly.
