  • Janome HD3000 is a joy

The Janome HD3000 is a pure joy to work with. My old Singer has recurrent timing problems, and I have a Euro Pro that is only for heavy duty use, so I really hoped that this Janome lived up to all the good reviews and forum remarks. It does. Period.

  • janome hd3000 sewing machine

I have done a lot of sewing, and my Kenmore was great. Now I make bags and the baby Kenmore wouldn't go through the 8-10-12 layers of fabric and stuff that is necessary for bag making. This Janome is AWESOME! Just purrs along. Nothing gets in it's way. And it's not a computerized machine. I don't need that. This machine is perfect for what I do. Happy girl here.

  • so far so good

I've had this machine for a couple of months and have been using it regularly. It sews very well and is quiet and easy to use. I would definitely recommend. But since I've only had it for 2 months can't comment on it's longevity.

  • Upgrade

I upgraded my 5 year old Janome (also purchased from Overstock) and replaced it with this HD model. I LOVE it! Sews great. This machine will do everything I will ever need to do and should last me many years.

  • Janome heavy duty machine

I love this machine. I had a Singer machine for many years but I most sew leather handbags now and the Singer just was not strong enough to handle that type of material. I have sewn many handbags since receiving this machine in the mail and its wonderful. The machine glides easily over the leather and no more broken needles!!! I love this machine, definitely worth the money because I able to make lots of handbags for my Etsy shop and craft shows. Great machine!

  • Janome = New Home, but better!

For years, I had a sturdy, hard-working New Home sewing machine. I sewed lots of kids clothes, costumes, turtlenecks for me, decorating projects, and on all kinds of fabrics. we decided I needed a new machine (What? They have self-threaders now?) when I moved across the country, so I left it behind. I searched to find another machine like it, and then discovered New Home is now Janome. I wanted a mechanical, heavy duty machine, not a computer model with lots of stitches I would never use. This machine is *exactly* what I was looking for! It sews beautifully, over many layers of fabric, including denim when hemming jeans. It also handles very light fabrics without stretching or pulling. It is quiet, and it *does* have a self-threader, which is fantastic! This is an updated version of the sewing machine I used for decades and loved, and I couldn't be happier! It's perfect.

  • Are there janome hd 3000 w/ 220 voltage?

  • Why did you choose this product?

    • Basic machine (non-computerized) that sews heavy fabrics and leather

    • Reviews sounded like it would sew denim well.

    • This machine is heavy duty and will sew through very thick material and stretch fabric. it also has the surge foot which does the overlock on your edging. I like that it is mechanical and simple to use.

    • I saw the exact same machine for the same price on but with the 15% discount coupon on Overstock I got it for $60 less. It is still an investment for me and of course if I can find the best savings its all the better. Thank you Overstock for making life more affordable!

    • I need a good quality heavy-duty sewing machine and decided on this one after extensive research.

    • I purchased this machine to replace my old Janome New Home machine which I so enjoyed for about 30 years and because of the reviews and the good description.

    • After reading many reviews for several weeks. This appears to be the best sewing machine available and at a great price here on Overstock. Very excited to get it. Can't wait!!

    • I did research on the best, most reliable and most durable sewing machine for my needs, and this sewing machine consistently got 5 stars from all customer reviews, and 4-5 stars from professional reviewers, when compared with other machines in its category. I cannot wait to ditch my old Euro Pro Select that I purchased from QVC a few years ago. At this point, every time I look at the Euro Pro I feel like crying. So, welcome home Janome!

    • This product was highly rated based on my research. I need a heavy duty machine for home decorating projects.

    • Great reviews, very heavy duty machine.

    • I was looking for a new heavy-duty sewing machine after my singer industrial one fell out of our moving truck. This one had really good reviews. And I like the chart on the inside of the door for quick reference. I didnt want one that was computerized so i can fix thing if i need. It also has a couple more things my sewing machine didn't have stitches and can sew 12 layers of denim which I think is amazing.
