I was a bit nervous about ordering a reburbished machine. It arrived promptly, in excellent condition and all accessories included as stated. I have been sewing for over 40 years on several different brands of sewing machines and can honestly say this machine is the easiest and best that I have used. I started sewing with this machine the day I received it. It sews very smoothly. The stiches are perfect. It is very simple to thread and use. I absolutely love the simplicity of sewing buttonholes with the buttonhole foot. You just place a button in the buttonhole foot, select the buttonhole stich and push the foot peddle. The machine does the rest. I needed to sew 12 buttonholes at the top of a shower curtain (for the rings). It took a matter of minutes and came out perfect. This machine is the best in this price range.
A really great sewing machine. Product was in perfect condition, perfect working order. Sews easily through several layers of fabric. Stitches are beautiful. Easy to use. Nice manual included. I expect to be using this machine for many, many years. It has metal gears - very hard to find. I did my research before purchasing this machine and I don't think that there is a better bargain around. You will not regret this purchase.
As a sewer for over 40 years, sewing instructor and owner of 2 sewing machines, I was skeptical to buy a refurbished machine for my daughter. After reading the helpful feedback I bought and am very happy I did. My daughter was here when it arrived, we opened it and it appeared new, with all accessories including the manual which was still in it's original packaging. The best part was that when we tested it, it hummed... She was so excited that she ran out to buy fabric and that evening she was making a very large dog bed. This machine sewed the thick canvas fabric without hesitation and I would highly recommend anyone looking for a machine to buy this one including my family/friends. I almost bought this exact machine, new, as a Kenmore for $100 more. When I discovered that the reconditioned Kenmore was sold as a Janome, I decided to give it a try. The machine arrived quickly and in excellent condition.. I tested all the features to make sure they worked correctly and was not disappointed.
