Product was shipped same day, received 3 days later. I am not very experienced with a serger but this one is so simple. The manual is easy to understand. The threading is color coded. I had it figured out in less than 30 minutes time. I just completed an evening gown for a customer and it made a world of difference in the overall quality of the gown. The only problems that I had is the motor is so strong that I had to find a more steady surface to sit it on and one of the bottom threads broke several times although this may have been the user. The only additional thing is the width of the stiches could be smaller. I have it set on the smallest and for the gown this was fine however if I was to sew something like spandex then I would prefer a much smaller stich. This machine is great for the average seamstress or beginer seamstress. Overall I have always been pleased with Overstock and If I were to need a second serger I would buy this one again.
For weeks I had been working on a dress and I could not get it to sew together without a serger (due to the fabric) I finally purchased the serger on line and since then I have fallen in love with this machine. For me it was extremely easy to use and was exactly what I needed to finish my product. =)
Was so pleased with the machine and the price. Have used Janome products for years and really love them. Was easy to start serging with it already being threaded. Am telling all my friends about Overstock and will continue to shop with you. The speed of delivery was excellent. Thanks for wonderful service.
I have used this product a few times now, threading the machine was a little tricky but easy enough to figure out, it is a great machine and fun to use.
