Lacis In-Line Yarn Ball Winder
This is a great winder and it works really well. It winds the yarn in a smooth uniform ball without catching and tangling up the yarn around the shaft. I definitely recommend it over the winders with the vertical spools and long yarn guides.

Yarn Ball Winder
I was looking for this item for a while and found the best price at Overstock.com. I was pleasantly surprised when it was delivered a couple of days earlier than promised. I crochet for charity and received donations of 3-4 lb. cones and am using the winder to make double-stranded cakes, which make them easier to transport in my tote bag when I travel.

Great ball winder
I got this ball winder to help me wind yarn that I had been sent by a customer, and the yarn was in hanks, make sure that you get a swift to hold the yarn because it makes winding a one person job when you have both of these items, In a very short amount of time I was able to wind all 22 hanks, I have been knitting with the balls of yarn I wound and they pull very nicely and no tangles so far. I like the fact that there is no assembling, just clamp it and away you go.

title is exactly what it says
I have owned a ball winder before, but not an in-line winder. I am not satisfied with this winder as it does not wind as smoothly as the wobble type...also it does not wind as much yarn per ball as the other kind of winder. It is made well and looks like it would do well. some people may like it. I feel that it is just my experience with another winder that has caused me to be as judgmental of this one as I am.

Love this ball winder!
I like this ball winder because the shape of the ball is not as industrial looking as others. Also, I feel that I am more in control of the process. There is nothing chintzy about this ball winder. It's simple and works great.

Lacis Yarn Winder
This is a real time saver. I had been winding yarn by hand using a piece of PVC. This is a lot easier on arthritic hands and makes a ball that center pulls and is a good size. You can easily make quite a large ball.
