This is not a kit for someone just starting needlepoint. The many gradations of color enhance the picture greatly but could be difficult if you've never done this before.

• How accurate was the on site description of the product? It was good. The only thing missing was the grid count of the canvas

The description on the website is not accurate. The kit contains only cotton thread. There is a very small amount of wool yarn for detailing. I had already made six wool yarn stockings and needed this stocking to finish a family gift. I trusted the written description on the site. I am not able to use this stocking because it does not match what I already have made. I think the kit is adorable and was disappointed that I couldn't use it. Overstock was very helpful in correcting the situation for me.

The product arrived very promptly, with coloring and kit exactly as I saw on the 'O' website. Tremendously pleased.
