This item is very cheap in looks and quality. There is a good variety of colored thread but they are so small that you can't even get a full bobbin out of it. The accessories are the same quality as dollar stores. The foldaway box is hard plastic that is hard to close correctly. Don't waste your money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The things inside are great, but it is hinged together with small plastic bits, which broke within a month or two of purchase. It is hard to close and the closing tabs slide right off and are easy to lose. Do not purchase if you are going to use it much.

Got this and it is cute, also contains a lot of items so it is handy. Can't think of anything else I would want it to hold. It does not appear to be made of very durable plastic but only I will be using it so that is fine. The real problem from my perspective is the thread. It is on spool holders on two sides of the case. When the case is closed the thread tends to slip from side to side leaving some holders with 2 spools and others with none. Then when you open it a few fall down (not out, just down). This is problematic if like me you like to keep your thread organized according to color as I do since they change positions frequently! However it is great to have everything I need in one compact holder!

Disappointed by the overall quality. Lots of little goodies, but the box is cheap and the thread is small and not great quality. I don't recommend it.

Don't get me wrong... I do like this set. It's great for me to START out with. I'm not too thrilled about the amount of thread on the spools (one spool will fill one bobbin), but the little extras are pretty convenient. For the money, worth it; but I'd advise on getting a little more thread in colors you'd be more likely to use (white, black, navy, etc.).

This is my first disappointment from Overstock. All items in the box are of very poor quality. Even the box itself is shoddily constructed. The spools fall off the spindle when I try to close the box. The spools of thread are also MUCH smaller than expected.

Okay so I have to take some of this on myself. I rushed into buying this based on the picture alone and didn't read properly. So my bad. But based on the picture and thinking the scissors were in fact full size scissors, I was seriously surprised at the small size. As previously mentioned the spools do fall back and forth which is annoying to my ocd ways. It's pretty cheap plastic and I don't see it standing up for long. But it has all the little doodads in it that if bought separately would probably equal this price or come close. So all in all not a horrible purchase but I could have done better. I think a fishing tackle box would be a better purchase and what I will probably do when this one breaks.

the case is cheaply made and small and there is no room for anything extra you might want to add. of all the values i get from overstock, this is disappointing.

This organizer is not what I expected. It is a bit small and somewhat flimsey. I would not recommend this item to an avid sewer. Perhaps a person that just does mending from time to time may appreciate it. I'm an avid seamstress so this does not suit my needs.

I finally found a product that I can bring anywhere. I love the construction of the item and that it is small enough to put in my emergency pack in my car.

If I only knew how tiny, and poor quality this item was. I wanted to return it but when I realized the shipping charges ($7.55) to be deducted from my refund, I decided maybe I could salvage the items that I liked and find another container and use it as a stocking stuffer or the ever-so-famous all-purpose gift. DO NOT BUY THIS! Sad very Sad. I will say that the other item I bought, I liked. I will still purchase from Overstock, but very carefully.

Very cheap quality, utensils are almost useless. I bought this for my daughter who is just starting to sew in hopes that it would give her a good basic set of sewing utensils. I do not think I can even give it to her.

plastic carry case doesn't work as expected, a side that wouldn't stay together (hing). I would choose one of the other two options here for a sewing kit. I might order both of them just to know the difference (next time I place an order). I'm keeping this one, but ditching the plastic case. Items came in handy with guests 2 days after delivery, perfect time.

The kit was what I wanted, a compact, easily portable sewing kit. What I did not need was machine spools that do not fit my machine, and an extensive collection of spooled thread which pop off their spindles if you don't open the kit smoothly. Also, I was disappointed with the quality of some of the parts. Considering the price and contents as a whole, a great value. Finally, the customer service was well beyond expectations.

Arrived with a cracked hinge that I had to glue back together. A good idea, but needs a little more thought. It holds quite a lot, but if you are not careful when you open the box, the contents will fall out. It opens kind of like a flower, with the contents arrayed on the petals. If you use the box all the time, this won't be a problem, but if you open it occasionally you'll likely forhget to be careful and the will have to rearrange everything each time you open the box.

It was old and very dirty, it had dust all over and some parts were broken.

I received the sewing kit as a present for Christmas. Not only was the gift itself extremely thoughtful it was also very useful. The kit is very convenient and has everything I need. I have been sewing for several years and was still missing a few things...all of which were included in the kit. The items included are perfect for the beginner or the avid seamstress.

Everything you absoluely need in a sewing kit, and more. I really love that it offers so much, but the box is messy when opening it. Neddles fall out easily, etc. I simply transferred all items into an aluminum container I had.
