Bought this unit roughly a month ago. This sewing machine has just been wonderful. It is easy to setup out of the box and easy to use. The machine came pre-threaded with white and grey thread cones and was ready to go right out from the box. The threading system is also color coded to make it easy.
Features are in line with other models I found on the internet but this model was nearly half their prices.
The instruction that came with the machine was adequate but could have used an instructional video of some sort. Overall, I highly recommend this machine to anyone. Make sure you get used to the capability of the machine using sample pieces as you don't want to learn how to use the machine on the garment or fabric you actually want to sew. In no time I got the hang of it and was happily sewing away. Thank you Overstock for offering such a wonderful item at such a moderate price.
How often do you shop at Overstock.com? Few times a year
This machine is completely unusable. The needle mechanism was maladjusted, so it keeps striking some of the internal parts and will not operate. The price was great, but the product was not - so I didn't end up saving any money in the long run. This is the first time that I have been dissatisfied with a purchase from Overstock after purchasing at least 100 times. I'll be more cautious about mechanical items and off brands.
I have used this machine twice for about 30 min and it stopped working. I can not get it to continue on and it could be a short in the peddle, but none the less I can't use it. I will need to take it to a shop to be looked at which is a pain. That is why I bought a new machine....Very disatisfied.
