This is billed as Mary Engelbreit fabric, but I think it's a knock-off. The drawings are "off" and not quite like she does. I've quilted with other Mary Engelbreit fabric and it was much higher quality. This group of fat quarters features a "neighborhood" with pictures that are all out of scale with each other. The coordinating fabrics pick up on design elements from the large scale print. But the oddest fabric is a dark background with the figures simply copied from the large scale print and placed on the background -- with no attempt to make them blend with each other in a picture. Strange. I probably won't make anything with these fat quarters -- the quality is too poor to justify investing any sewing time.

The prints are cute, especially if you like the designer. However, the fabric itself feels as if it has a coating/film on it. So right away, the fabric feels yucky. Second, there are marking/holes along the selvages, which indicate the fabric may have been stacked. Stacked fabric is fabric that didn't measure the 42-44 inches, so they wet the fabric and stretch it. Once washed it will shrink back to the original size. I don't know how much the shrinkage will be since I haven't washed it yet. Again, it's cute fabric, but bad quality fabric (you get what you pay for).

These fat quarters are really cute, however it would have been nice to see all of the fabrics that are included, to see what you will be getting. I was very pleased with the assortment.
