I purchased this sewing machine because I didn't want to pull out my larger machine. This machine is perfect for small jobs, though a little noisy. It worked flawlessly, and I intend to give one to my 13yr grandson whom is taking sewing classes in school. As well as giving one to my daughter-in-law whom finds it difficult to use a larger machine, nor does she have room to store a larger machine.
