  • So much for lower prices on Overstock!

I bought 3 of these and then I saw them today at my local (generally overpriced) Ben Franklin store for ***a jar less! ***instead of *** per jar. SO disappointed! I've noticed that the prices here are not necessarily the best anymore, I guess I'll have to start comparison shopping in earnest here....

I love the way the snow makes the project look. Like fresh fallen snow. It is very cool and easy to use. Thank you and have a great day.

  • They don't stick so how can I emboss with them?

    Oct 4, 2013

    2468xyz  from Washington, D.C., Rating:1.0

These powders do not stick at all to stamping ink. The particles are chunky and heavy and they fall off. They are unusable for embossing unless you're working with glue. Here is how I have always been taught to emboss using embossing powders and I know no other way: I take a rubber stamp, ink it up with transparent ink, stamp the ink on my card or paper, sprinkle embossing powder on the stamped area, lift the paper and dumb the excess powder so that only the powder that stuck to the stamped design sticks, and blast it with a heat gun so that the powder melts into the paper in the shape of the stamped design. The process is impossible if the powder doesn't stick to ink. These powders do not stick to ink, rendering them useless. These might have other crafting purposes and I suppose you could try embossing with glue - I have not tried and am afraid to do so because I don't want to ruin my stamps and it seems really messy and difficult, and I don't know how the glue would react...

  • What a nice set of pens!

    Sep 27, 2013

From the fine-tuned artist, to the artist at heart, to the kid in all of us, these pens just roll on to making your project to be the best of the best. I love how the pens are easy to hold, nice flow of ink and truly hot colors for that special project. When it comes time to replace the pens I have, I'll be looking for these jelly rolling pens.
