Just ok
The frame is just what it looks like. It was a little chinsier than I was expecting, but does seem to work just fine. If you know someone who is handy with a saw and drill, you could pretty easily make this at home and probably save a little money. It does make cross-stitching easier and more convenient to store when you're not working on the project.
