Smaller than you would expect so make sure you realize how small 24x36 is. Table is a little less sturdy than I thought...for another $100 I could have gotten something much nicer. Overall not bad for the money though.

It was very easy to put together, and It was just what I was looking for. I have been drawing on a flat table and this makes my drawings easier to do and it is a nice looking piece of fruniture too.

This drafting table is made with good craftsmanship. It arrives in a flat box that is well packed to limit any damages. Putting together the table was easy and everything fits into place snug. The only tool you need to have on hand is a small Philips screwdriver. The rest of the pieces go together with a wrench that is provided. I liked this table because it fit in well with the actual antique furniture we have in our home. All around excellent product.

Smart looking drafting table, purchased primarily to be used with 2 vintage looking metal stools purchased from Overstock - all to be used in unique setting for additional eating area. Unfortunately, the top corner of table arrived 'damaged' (appeared packed as damaged - packaged well and no damage to exterior of shipping box). I required use of table immediately - hired someone to sand down corner and apply stain. In addition, one hole to secure pencil holder was stripped and required wood filler to secure it to table top. Restoration made it look even more' vintage' - if it had not been for the high quality of wood, I would have returned it immediately. Table in more upright position is great for viewing those 'coffee table' books that are often too cumbersome to enjoy. I love the table and will enjoy its versatility.

Really glad that I purchased this table. It fits well in my traditional decor. My only complaint is that one of the legs was not completely sawed through where the rotation track fits. Luckily a kitchen utility knife fit into the slot and punched through the remaining wood. I would definitely purchase this again. This price was half that of the import store where I first spotted this item.

I purchased this table for my artist daughter.she likes the color and design and actually she uses it and displays her art with the table angled. The size is perfect for her small room yet not so little for easy use. While she is painting or drawing she needs another small side table obviously. The iron adjusting brackets are a little thinner than I expected but table itself is small so it will hold.

We had to drill a few of the holes out and there were more of some screws than needed and less of others than needed. Overstock was fast to help, amazing customer service. The desk is stunning. I use it to paint in my living room. After the issues assembling everything else is amazing, it attracts a lot of compliments, and looks as good if not better than the vintage achitectural desks I looked at that were thousands of dollars.

Love it! At first I was a little intimidated by the directions: They were by photos only, which looked like an engineer drew it or something. But, once I took a deep breath and made sure I checked off something every time I did it, it was actually really quick and easy to assemble! Love the wood. The side round rails to adjust the angle though, look more like horseshoes then circles which is what I more imagined, but that's okay.

I work from home a lot and often receive calls in the middle of the night, so I wanted a desk for my bedroom. My home is very modern so I wanted a desk that would fit well with my home design. I saw this desk and it appeared to be the perfect choice. The item arrived quickly and when I opened it, I noticed that it was a bit smaller than I thought it would be. The quality of the wood is excellent, though putting it together was difficult due to the right leg measurement being a bit off. I feel it is a bit over priced due to it's size. I chose to keep it because it's large enough for my laptop which is pretty much all I need. I certainly wouldn't recommend this to someone who actually expects to use it as a drafting table.

I wish I loved this drafting table, and that the cons were minor -they're not major, but the cons of this product move it closer to the -too-much-of-a-hassle-to-take-apart-and-send-it-back- category, so I guess I'll have to break out the tools and 'fix' the dern thing. It's not that I wouldn't completely recommend this product to a friend but, I would and will list the pros and cons and leave it to them and you, to decide if you want to deal with it. Pros: 1) the 42" (there's a 48" version) is the perfect size, each piece is sturdy, hard wood frame with a matching veneer table top --also very nice color and finish. 2) easy enough to assemble -it took my mom and me about 45 minutes to put together with basic tools. 3) I like the height -you can stand or sit to work and it's a 'real' drafting table dimension. 4) it's an attractive addition to my studio. alas, the cons; 1) some of the hardware is crap. specifically the allen screws that attach the legs --two are already stripped, just from assembly that wasn't particularly hard. 2) in the photos, with the table surface raised it appears that the table has storage below the table top -it doesn't. The top raises and below is a divided frame for the top -w/o secret 'cubby' holes for drawing/ desk material. *HOWEVER* I will be adding a bottom to the table top frame for this purpose. 3) the drawer will not open completely -this may just be my drafting table-but for the life of me I can't find the problem that's keeping the left side of the laptop drawer stuck, and you can't possibly use this for a laptop drawer if you can only open it 3 inches. I will probably have to take the table top off turn it over and disassemble the drawer to unstick it --gee I hope those allen screws aren't too stripped so that I can get the legs off.... 4) it's about a 5 (scale of 1-10) on the stability meter. It is heavy but the hardware and not so great connecting points keep it from being truly sturdy -I forsee screwing and glueing it together better in future -maybe when I take it apart to deal with the laptop drawer.... 5) I need a drafting table NOW and it would be more of a hassle to return the dern thing, than to 'fix' it. Bottom line: For the price and speed of delivery and the look of this product, *IF* you think of it as a nice drafting table kit, and you have the skills and tools to construct, modify and better this product plus the time to do just that, it's not a bad deal. *IF* you want a drafting table that is easily put together without need for improvements, spend at least $200 more and get a student grade drafting table. Me? I'll make it work and make it better.
