I saw this machine used at craft show and I immediately went on line to favorite shopping place Overstock which had the best price for this machine. When I received the machine, I tried it out by printing one stamp and it worked perfectly which consist of one item. But when I tried to use my Heartfelt Creations Cling Rubber Stamp Set Vintage Morning Background HCPC 3577 it scanned perfectly, but when it tries to convert the file to cut it only shows a few squiggly lines. I tried it in different colors black, red, dark blue with the same results. Change to different scan sheets and it still would not show up to cut. I bought this machine to cut my stamps so that I would not have to buy the dies. I update the machine software and I check the scanner to see if it was clean. The problem is not with the scanner because the scan comes in nice and clear. It has to be the software (OCR) that is not converting the file well enough for the machine to cut the file. Called the company and spoke to customer service who could not comprehend that the system is scanning great but the software was not picking up the scan to cut. She informed me to take it to an authrorzed dealer. I just paid $*** for machine that I expect to work. I informed them that I would be returning the machine and hopefully when they update their software to convert the scanned files better. The die for the heartfelt stamp cost $30. If I have to buy the die for this stamp, no way am I was going to keep a machine that should do the same thing. I am going back to my gyro blade which cost me $** and works great.

Wanted an embosser and almost bought the Cuttlebug. Went on YouTube to see different machines and decided on this one. I wanted more options than the small ones...you just never know. This works really well. Heavy....HEAVY. Not something you cart around. But, that is what makes it work well. You do need to get more shims and whatnot to fit all your embossing folders and die cutters. I tried using stacked 12" x 12" paper but that compresses and does not work. You need the shims made for this machine so just get them. Easier. I use Cuttlebug folders and some others easily and that Cuttlebug green and clear plastic embossing plates...but those things do not turn out well.....ever. They leave a dent in the paper where the edge of the small plate is. Nice you can open your paper and emboss to the edge of a 5" x 7" paper...or emboss and cut later. Some shims are very thin...and you will use them. Just a small bit of extra pressure can change everything. Get the other shims...and while you are at it, another rubber mat and clear plastic top. Made wedding invitations and everything else that goes with a wedding with this machine and it all turned out beautifully. OH...be sure to put the folded end of the embossing folder toward the rollers and not sideways or upside down. If you do, the plastic folder tabs will break. The folded end must go in first. Not a problem. You will love it.
