  I previously used an older die cutting machine, also manual, called a Wizard (by Spellbinders). The Big Shot is hands down so much easier to use. I haven't found anything I can't do with it that I plan to use it for. You can check placement of the dies before cutting through the clear "sandwich" layer, which makes the process so much more precise than my previous device. It is a great tool.

  Wish I hadn't bothered with cheap imitations! I didn't want to spend the money for the unit but when I found the discounted price on Overstock I knew it was time to act! If you are thinking about buying this product - DO IT! it is sturdy and well worth every penny. Overstock delivered before I had time to catch my breath from ordering! Great product. Fast service. Fantastic! Thanks!

  I was excited to receive the Silhouette as a late Christmas gift. Easy to set up and very intuitive software. I ran a couple of test designs and it performs like a charm.

  I wish these had existed when my kids were young. We would have had an amazing time with school projects using this! It is a complete fun purchase for me. Wish I had grand kids now! It would be such a fun thing to use for so many projects. I have not had the time to really devote to learning all of the features. But, have purchased the stencil kit and the etching kit. And am excited to have the time now to really dig in and use it. These product fantastic "wine claimers." You can personalize the round donut shaped paper to fit around the bottom of the glass. Everyone is so impressed!
