I have done numerous ******* craft kits over the years, and this is the 6th stocking I've made, so I'm not really following the directions anymore. I can see what the previous review is talking about tho. For me, it's just easier to do what makes sense, rather than try and do what they say,... It's pretty simple to follow the numerical order along with the guide and the picture on the package. One thing I will say, is I've never finished them as instructed. That seems cheap and flimsy. All my stockings get lined and I add a fleece cuff to the top. I embroider the name on a piece of felt and appliqué it to the cuff. They each have their own unique ribbon hanger that I reinforce with decorative buttons.. They are holding up beautifully- some 10 years old. I don't know how much weight you could hold if finished as instructed with a thin felt hanger.....I think of these kits as a base and add my own imagination!

Beautiful pattern, well thought out, fun to do, lots of material to work with, enjoying every minute of bringing this beauty to life. Will be so sorry when its complete even tho I'll enjoy the finished product hanging on my wall.

I have embroidered / cross stitched many of the Jack Dempsey quilt tops, especially the baby ones. These are always printed clearly and are nicely laid out so they are not too busy. I love the material they are made of, it is solid and consistant in quality. I have this one nearly done and look forward to making it into a throw blanket for my newly decorated sewing room.

IT is gorgeouse!! I added metallic threads and some bead work. Made it all the more beautiful( and one of a kind) Be prepared--- working on black fabric is harder than white. You may need glasses or a magnifier. Hard work, but it's worth it.

  • Overall satisfied

Overall, I am very satisfied with the kit, and the kit is of excellent quality. It's the first kit I've ever purchased in which the threads are already separated and labeled, which puts this kit way over other brand kits in regards to being organized and easy to start stitching. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars, or Excellent quality, is because the package itself had been torn open before, and it was simply taped shut with "Scotch" type tape. It was also rather 'beaten up', and far, far from looking like a new kit you would purchase in a store - it appeared to have been kicked around a dusty, dirty warehouse for months and months prior to being packaged for shipment. The contents of the package were clean, except for the front placard showing the photo of the finished cross stitch quilt - that was fairly worn, bent, and slightly torn in a few places. None of this has any effect on the actual contents of the kit - the quilt was clean and in pristine condition, as were th...
