Three months after the end of the manufacturer's warranty the handle that adjusts the height broke free inside. I continued to use it in the lowest position. This morning the piston broke thru the seat. It's a good thing I had purchased a cushion to place over the seat, otherwise it might have been very painful. I do NOT recommend purchasing this stool!

  • After 9 months of use

The most troubling part is after 9 months the chair wont keep in it's set height position it will slowly extend to full height. The foot rest also wont stay in it's position so there is no point it trying to put it anywhere but at the lowest position. Lastly the covering is scratchy, and it isn't very well padded.

This TASK Stool is a Godsend! A serious back problem recently incurred prevents me from standing for more than 5 minutes! BUT, now, I can scoot around the kitchen at various heights, accessing microwave, countertops (the stoolis adjustable), as well as cook top! Something I could NOT do prior to purchasing this item! Soooo glad I thought of and purchased this handy-dandy wheelie! But, wait! My Dentist was my inspiration! I must remain HONEST!

  • Good quality, versatile chair

This chair works great for either a regular office desk or a tall drafting table. Good quality and comfortable. I wouldn't recommend it as a chair for use for extended periods of time, but good for the home office/art studio. My only complaint is that assembling it was a bit tricky because the wooden chair back didn't align with the metal frame. I think the wooden chair back warped a little during shipping.

    slippery but meets my needs

Easy to assemble. Wanted to use it to scoot around in my laundry room as I transfer clothes from my front load washer to my drier. My machines aren't on those storage units often sold with front loaders so there's a lot of bending and reaching required and my balance isn't good. This little stool makes it easy for me. But watch out - the seat is comfy but slippery. I solved the problem by draping a ittle foam rubber sheeting that I had laying around over it.
