Very pleased
I got this machine for some light quilting and sewing and it has been very nice. I have no complaints at all. The long table is priceless and the different stitches work very well and are very nice-looking. I love being able to see when the bobbin is getting low and just how user friendly it is overall. I haven't had it long, but the 25 year warranty puts my mind at ease about durability. The instruction manual is unusually clear and helpful. It was wonderful value for the money and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again or reccommend it to anyone!

Brother XL3500T Sewing Machine
I am extremely pleased with the machines features for the price. I had planned for this to be my 'travel' machine, but it has so many features and sews so well I am going to make it my main machine at home. My sister is planning to order this machine after she saw it in use. We have owned a LOT of sewing machines over the years, as we are both full time crafters and gift makers. This machine is absolutely one of the best for the money.

Brother XL3500
Machine arrived within a few days, well packed and with all attachements/accessories/warranty info/manual. I was a bit concerned about 'factory reconditioned', but does not appear to be an issue. The only indication that the machine was not brand new was the plain box and some (very) minor scratches on the extended platform accessory....nothing more than what would be caused by normal use within a few weeks. I only sew fairly simple projects, so it's actually more machine than I need...but it has some nice features, including a needle threader (which I will probably never use, but might be handy for someone with poor close up vision or shaky hands). The machine is very quiet, the drop in bobbin is the easiest I've ever used, and frankly, I think the machine is much more substantial than it appears in the picture. The price was great and the 25 year warranty certainly can not be beat. I found the instructions to be clear and easy to follow. I would highly recommend this machine to any beginner or intermediate seamstress/tailor.

I've been a sewer all my life, but have never had a new machine. This one is a dream! Smooth running...it just purrs! Threading it is very easy. I haven't tried any of the fancy stitches yet, but I'm very happy with its performance on the basics. For the price, I believe it's an outstanding deal. I only wish I had bought it sooner!

Great machine, confusing manual
I ordered this machine because I didn't want any of the computerized ones. It does all the basics I wanted plus plenty more. The biggest downfall with this machine was adjusting the tension. I tried for 3 days with the first machine I received, but got nowhere. I now have the 2nd one, which works much better, and so far so good. I even tried a few of the fancy stitches which work great. Going by this 2nd machine I received, I would say it's a great machine, durable, and very versatile, and the price was (is) great. Just hope if you buy it you don't get a machine that has the tension problems, read another person had the same probs. Good luck, happy sewing.

Brother XL 3500 is great
I wondered about the quality of this machine because of the low price. But when I began to use it, I was very pleasantly surprised at the smoothness of the stitching and the quiet motor. I looked up an online review and it got great marks even from the professionals. One said, I almost passed on testing this machine because of the price but I was amazed at way it purred along.

Excellent Machine!
I have really enjoyed this machine in the couple months I've had it. It's easy to use, and I haven't had a problem with it yet, even though it was refurbished. I had some trouble with the tension, but I changed to a different brand of thread, and it worked out the issues. (Who knew that thread could have that big of an impact?) It's been a good machine, and I'm glad I bought it.

Excellent Warranty Service
Even though this machine was refurbished, it carried an excellent warranty. Thank goodness, because mine arrived broken - I couldn't fix the bobbin tension. I contacted the warranty service provider and they sent me another (also refurbished) machine that is working as if new. This is a great machine for someone who sews infrequently but needs something reliable and easy to use.
