This machine cost slightly more than having my old machine tuned up. It's lightweight, with way more features than my old machine. I really appreciate the self threading feature and its so easy to use.

i have NO sewing machine experience, and bought this to appease my craving for domesticity. it is a super- easy machine to use & the instructions are pretty straight-forward. i needed friends with sewing skills to tutor me on how to hem & such, but the machine rocks. i highly recommend it., though i have no idea how to use the extra feet. word.

This is my first machine, and so far I am very pleased with it. It arrived in excellent condition, only one small reddish marking on the case, hardly noticeable. It works beautifully. The manual is reasonably clear and helpful, and the machine is easy to use. I highly recommend this product.

I'm trying to learn how to sew and this is my first machine. It seems to me this is a great machine for a beginner since it's simple enough not to be overwhelming but it also has nice little features like the decorative stitches to make some more advanced projects.
I've really enjoyed it so far and the only problem I've had is with loops forming on the back of the fabric that don't really go away regardless of which tension level I choose (it doesn't happen all the time). It could be a problem with the machine but most likely it's related to my inexperience.
Overall, very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend it.

I purchased one of these machines for my daughter in law for Christmas. My sister, who is a professional seamstress, set it up for her and said it was a very good value, had everything needed and easy to use. So I got another one for my sister to use for noncommercial sewing and she loves it.

I had repaired my old machine a number of time and at $80 each time, I had had it. I recieved my new machine for a wonder ful price and it came in two day with only $2.95 shipping. I sewed my curtains that day and it sewed like a dream . I am happy with my new light weight sewing machine.

This machine is so so so easy to use and understand. It doesn't have pointless bells and whistles, but it has just the right amount of stitches and functions for my liking. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a no fuss sewing machine that doesn't compromise quality.

This machine works great! Very easy to thread. I was able to sew through denim just fine-just had to go slowly. Overall I am happy with my purchase. I ordered on Wednesday and it came on Friday!

I needed a machine for basic sewing and this one fits the bill. Bobbin winding is a little tricky, and I'm not sure I'm getting it right every time. Same for the automatic needle-threading feature. Other than that, I'm happy with the machine, and the price was certainly right. I've used it for about three weeks, so I can't give an opinion on how well it holds up to use.

I bought this machine to help me with my around the house sewing chores. I wanted something that was easy to learn but could tackle any job that I needed to get done. I am thoroughly pleased with almost every aspect of my new sewing machine. I was a little rusty, hadn't used one of these since middle school home-ec but in the first month of having it, I have made curtains, shorts for my daughter, fixed hem lines and even made a few little home accents here and there. It has been a lot of fun learning and getting all my little jobs done much faster. I will say that this was one purchase that was worth every penny I spent on it.

Machine was all that was advertised. Have not had a chance to utilize it much yet. Will reserve judgment as sewing machines need to be used alot to know how it withstands frequent use.

This is my first machine and I bought it to mostly mend things. It's been very easy to use with no trouble figuring out how to thread the machine, load the bobbin, use the auto needle threader or change stitches. It's light weight but stable enough that it doesn't bounce around when sewing. The price was right! So far I'm having a great time playing with this machine. I may even take some sewing classes!

excellent sewing maching for me...a beginner at sewing. directions are easy to understand. machine is easy to use. so glad i purchased this machine! i am looking forward to many sewing projects in the future. i used the machine on heavy fabrics and it worked perfectly!

I purchased this machine at a great price and with extra "feet". I am learning to quilt and this machne has everything I need and more. Plus is is light weight enough to take to class. It is very easy to learn to use and the instruction book is very helpful and easy to follow. I think a beginner would have no trouble starting with this machine.
