Great scrapbooking tool I love the scan to cut feature. I have not had a chance to use it as much as I would like to before writing this review but here it goes. I have stamped images and used the machine to scan and cut out my image so I don't have to fussy cut. The image needs to have a dark distinct outline. If it does it works great. If not, it appears that the image is scanned but when it goes to cut it, it does not determine what the outline is. The mat is not very sticky so, you need to press the paper down well and make sure it does not move during the cut phase. It comes with 2 mats and 2 blades, plus the bonus items. If you want to use the pens, you must purchase the pen holder separately. I believe this will be a great tool once I learn how to use it better!

Awesome tool I am so happy with my purchase. The only thing I had to order was the pen holder to be able to use all the accessories. This product is so easy to use and does not get hooked up to your computer. Everything you design can be saved on a Zip drive. I am having so much fun creating my own original designs.

Having fun with Scan n Cut This is such a fun machine! It does so much without buying a single die. It does have a learning curve to get everything just right but once you get it setup it's a snap. I scanned in a pic of a spider, cut out felt with an iron on sheet attached and poof...a Spider Man cape for my grandson! Supplies and extra mats are pricey but at least you don't have to buy designs anymore. Take the leap..Overstock has a great deal.

Brother Scan and Cut CM100DM I saw this machine used at craft show and I immediately went on line to favorite shopping place Overstock which had the best price for this machine. When I received the machine, I tried it out by printing one stamp and it worked perfectly which consist of one item. But when I tried to use my Heartfelt Creations Cling Rubber Stamp Set Vintage Morning Background HCPC 3577 it scanned perfectly, but when it tries to convert the file to cut it only shows a few squiggly lines. I tried it in different colors black, red, dark blue with the same results. Change to different scan sheets and it still would not show up to cut. I bought this machine to cut my stamps so that I would not have to buy the dies. I update the machine software and I check the scanner to see if it was clean. The problem is not with the scanner because the scan comes in nice and clear. It has to be the software (OCR) that is not converting the file well enough for the machine to cut the file. Called the company and spoke to customer service who could not comprehend that the system is scanning great but the software was not picking up the scan to cut. She informed me to take it to an authrorzed dealer. I just paid $*** for machine that I expect to work. I informed them that I would be returning the machine and hopefully when they update their software to convert the scanned files better. The die for the heartfelt stamp cost $30. If I have to buy the die for this stamp, no way am I was going to keep a machine that should do the same thing. I am going back to my gyro blade which cost me $** and works great.

I am trying to figure out if the accessories match what comes normally with this model. Is there one regular blade w blade holder and one deep cut blade with deep cut blade holder? Also is there the fabric support sheet. One more question, one customer states that she had to buy the pen holder for the pens, however, I see it listed on the accessories list pls confirm

Hello Tina, this comes with 2 standard mats, 1 low tack mat, 2 blades, 6 pens, low tack adhesive, 2 iron on applique contact sheets, 1 touch pen, 1 spatula, 1 brother pen holder, 1 manual and pattern list. You would use one of the mats to hold your fabric while cutting. The pen holder is included. With the normal model this would just come with 1 mat and cutting blade. Have a great day!
