This machine was easy to set up and use from a beginner's perspective. It's working great and is light weight and easy to move around. Also, glad to have bought a refurbished machine over a new one so I save money and the earth too. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I purchased a refurbished Brother LS2125 Sewing Machine from overstock.com, and I am very satisfied with my purchase. It is a decent sewing machine at a nice price. I am usually wary of buying refurbished items, but this came with a decent warranty so I decided to take a chance. I am glad I did! I've been using it regularly in the last few weeks since I bought it, and I've had no trouble with it whatsoever.This model of sewing machine is very easy to use. Once you unpack it, you could easily be sewing within just a few minutes.I'm pleased with my new sewing machine, and if I had to make the purchase over again I wouldn't change anything!

I haven't sewn on a machine in over 25 years. I just needed a basic machine to sew straight lines in varying stitch lengths and maybe a hem stitich once in a while. This machine will do that and more. The price is great for all the things you can do with this unit. You can even do TWO thread colors at once for a fancy border or embroidery. I haven't even finished reading the manual and I am already full of ideas of projects I can complete around my home.Ordering and delivery was easy and everything was included in the package; manual, cords, bobbins, and a working light bulb.

this is a great basic portable machine. runs like a champ, is quiet, and easy to thread (bobbin, too) i needed a machine with zig-zag stitches and consider the automatic buttonhole a sweet blessing.the machine, while refurbished, looks and operates like new. i'm very happy with this purchase.

I must admit I was skeptical about buying anything on line, but I decided to set-up an account with paypal and try it. Since then I've made many purchases on-line. I am so very happy with my sewing machine that I bought from "Overstock". For someone with Old age ailments, it's such a pleasure to order on-line and have the product delivered right to your front door. I've sewn several things, and the "refurb" works as if it were brand new, and it may very well be.....NO problems at all. I am very happy with "Overstock.com"I will be ordering again and again. And look at the money I saved....isn't that what it's all about in these times? THANK YOU "OVERSTOCK.COM".

I've sewn before - stuffed animals, dresses, other clothes, 18th-century opera costumes - but I still consider myself a beginner; at least, not advanced enough for a fancy machine. I had never owned my own, and I had purchased a different starter machine, not from Brother, which turned out to be a poorly reviewed model. I promptly returned it and looked to other options, and was encouraged by the off-the-charts average this product has, and for good reason! It is the smoothest, easiest machine I might have ever sewn on. I love it, and it came in great condition and with everything necessary. Such a happy customer! :D

I found the machine to be very difficult to get the needle to start sewing. I had to move it by hand quite a number of times to get it to sew. When it was operating it was not a smooth operation it kept stopping when I tried to sew slowly. I was also disappointed that there wasn't a simple hem stitch.

Everything came as billed. The shipping was efficient and the necessary items, like a direction manual were contained. Not knowing anything about the machine, I fired it up and watched it operate before threading it. The needle was evidently bent and broke right away. Fortunately, three other needles were included. Thus, able to start it up fresh, it worked like a champ. Very happy with it.

I purchased this sewing machine for my daughter's 15th birthday. It is exactly as described, looks and works like new! I shopped around for about a month before deciding to buy this one, and I am so glad I chose to go this route. Not only is it a great machine, it was a great deal. I am very happy with my purchase, and I know my daughter will be able to use it for years to come. Thanks so much!

I was given a sewing machine many years ago by my father for xmas it was a brother,,,,,,,hot pink course it does alot more than this one........however it it quite heavy too much trouble to get out and sew on now, and I'm not sure I could not even remember how to do all the fancy things on it...........This is a really nice machine not at all small like some childrens models I've seen. I took it out of the box and inspected it but decided no sewing till I finished my cleaning which was about 3 days later......Now I looking for fabric and stuff to mend......hehe I am very happy it does different straight stiches as well as zigzags, button holes and even will sew on a button, also has a mending foot........not too shabby for the price it cost!!!! Once again you just can't beat Overstock!!

My husband bought this product for me, for my birthday. It is a GREAT starter machine. The only problem I have had with it, is when I tried to sew thru 2 layers of denim. I think that thickness was too much for the machine. I broke several needles when trying to sew the denim. Other than that, the machine has fulfilled all my needs and then some. I would highly recommend this starter machine to anyone.

I had a very heavy 30 year old sewing machine that finally just refused to sew. I wanted something that I could easily lift onto a shelf in the closet to store. Something that did basic sewing for simple crafts or repairs.
This is the machine. Seems easy to use, sewed just fine. Threading the needle was a little tricky but OK.
I'm happy with purchase.

The sewing machine is a great value for the money. It's very light weight and so easy to thread and fill a bobbin. I absolutely love it. I have been sewing for awhile and this machine is perfect for me, I can easily hem and do all my crafts with no problem. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to save money from going to a seamstress and doesn't need all those fancy buttons on a machine that can go wrong and that are never used. Fast delivery too.

I bought this machine 2 months ago and so far is working great! easy to deal with, very light but at the same time very strong to work with heavy fabrics, the stiches are really nice and is very friendly with beginers like me!. I have to say the machine that I received the first time had some problems with the timming but I called the warranty dep. and theese team knows how please their customers! they send me a replace the next day! I was really happy for that and the comunication by e-mail was very fast. Thanks so much.

Price was fantastic! I am traveling away from home and am a quilter. I did not bring my sewing machine with me so I needed a machine while I am out of state. This was a very affordable option. I was pleased with ease of bobbin winding and threading the needle. The machine operated perfectly. I would highly recommend this machine and overstock.com to my friends and family.
