I needed a simple sewing machine around to do basic sewing. This machine does a lot more. It also has a needle threader on it. I can not see well, even with my glasses but it does work. My over all rating, I would give it 4 Stars, because it is a little to light weight , feels a little cheap and I have only used it once so I can not really give it a full review. It only took a few days to get it, great service.
I'm new at learning how to sew, and I'm teaching myself on this newly purchased Brother machine. I have made a dress, hemmed several pairs of paints, and sewed buttons on a blouse. I only gave the machine a 3 star based on the fact I have nothing to compare it to. I am also disappointed by the rumored limitations of plastic bobbins with elastic thread, which I intend to test out for myself. The machine works well with denim fabrics and the manual is easy to read. Based on my limited knowledge, I would recommend this machine to anyone like myself.
I was looking for a all in one sewing solution for my wife and had researched many similar products and brands and came across this product on Overstock which found quite versatile and most important budget friendly. My wife with no experience in sewing whatsoever... mastered the workings of this one in matter of hours.I was impressed how user friendly and automized this product is. Keep this in mind this product can rival most professional units and is easy to work with whether you are a novice or a pro. The LCD feature and variety of sewing options are very useful and will satisfy your creative appetite + works with any fabric you throw at it!! I ordered this machine thinking it would take a while to arrive. It was delivered in just a few days and was just what I expected. Although it was "reconditioned" it looked new and was much cheaper than currently offered other places. I am very happy with this machine, it does all that I want and will be much used for many years, I hope!
I gave this as a gift to my wife for Christmas. She has used it twice since then and is Very Happy with it. She loves how easy it is to use and thread and all of the additional stitches it provides. However, after playing with it myself, I feel i should have purchased the Runway model with more stitches just so she would have them to play with. Although I am VERY pleased with this product and the customer service I was given. The machine came with a broken piece on the storage bin. I contacted customer service and in less than 24 hours I received a response and they informed me they were contacting the warehouse and would have a replacement part sent to me ASAP!! As I write this, I am still waiting on the part.... (only been 2 days). I Will write back when I get it.
