I am using this kit to teach beginners how to make bobbin lace. I was disappointed about the thinness of the "pillow" and the lack of a covering.

As a master lacemaker, let me tell you that this kit is known as the "kit from hell" in the industry. I looked at one to see how it was put together. *I* could not figure out thier directions and I know what I am doing!! The Pillow is really cheap and will not hold up for more than 2-3 projects. The "stand" is a piece of folded cardboard that didn't hold the pillow for 15 minutes before it fell apart. The bobbins are pretty good however. That is the only possitive thing that I can say about it. This kit pretty much will make you hate lacemaking with is really very fun and easy to do.

This product has everything for a beginner however the instructions are not clear enough. I ended up buying a beginners course book. If you try to buy all of these materials separately it would be a lot more expensive so this kit is worth every penny.
