It will support a 40-pound sewing machine as steel locking legs offer a sturdy base.     For many years I have missed having a table model sewing machine which has a flat surface next to the machine, but enjoy the flexibility of being able to use the portable table I set it on for other purposes. However, I have missed having a flat surface directly next to the needle area of the machine especially when sewing large items. This talbe gives me not only the flexibiltiy of having a portable table, a flat surface for other uses of the tab le, but also the flat surface next to the sewing needle that I have long missed. It is easy to adjust and I am looking forward to many years of use of this table. Thank you for a quality table with such flexibility.

    Table is sturdy to hold machine for sewing. Do Not move table with machine on, it's not that sturdy. Make sure the lags are lock in securely. Like that I can fold up & out of the way. Have not established the drop down use because a separate insert is needed for flat sewing surface. But it looks like the opening is a standard size for all drop down shelves. Not sure it's worth taking along to other sewing location for classes/workshops. Too bulking for that.

  • I believe there is a typo on the size of machine that can fit in this table. It says "no larger than 23.5 inches long x 5 inches deep." That is incorrect as most machines are much wider than 5 inches deep. It looks like this table would fit my machine which is 20 in long and 10 in deep, but the information you have makes me hesitate. Can u please get back to me with the correct measurements?
