This machine is a great addition to your craft room if you already have a high quality sewing-only machine. It only embroiders, so you will need another machine for sewing. The machine is easy to thread and set up, and you can sew the built-in patterns as soon as you open the box! The best thing about this machine is that it is so easy to download embroidery designs from the internet, and transfer them to a compact flash card to move them to the machine. You can embroider from the cf card, or, for designs you will use often, like a monogram, you can move them to the machine's on-board memory so they are always loaded and ready to go! The machine creates even running stitches, solid fill stitches, and beautiful satin stitches. It's easy to thread, and the drop in bobbin is simple to install. It comes with 2 hoops, and the largest gives you a very generous embroidery area, One "must have" accessory that is exclusive to Janome is the Clothsetter device, which enable you to accurately place your embroidered design on your finished project, time after time, If you want to create, for example, a border along the top of a king sized sheet, this device will allow you to break the design into sections, and embroider each one in exactly the right spot so the entire design registers correctly. This in itself would make Janome my only choice for an embroidery machine!

I re-purposed the craft product to store earrings, bracelets, extra jewelery, pony tail holders, make-up, q-tips, etc. Unfortunately, Overstock keeps sending me suggestions for sewing/crafts products, that I find too funny. That would be the only downfall in buying this product, they will try to sell you a sewing machine with it.

I had never heard of JANOME until I started doing my homework for a new sewing machine. My JANOME 7330 MAGNOLIA is quiet, functional, easy and sturdy. I am sure there are other sewing machines out there that can even take your dog for a walk; but for me, a seasoned home crafts and sporadic seamstress, this one is just great.

THis is a must have for anyone who appliques, sews, quilts, or does crafts of any kind that uses an iron to bond fabric. It saves your iron and leaves a nicely finished item. Love, love, love!

This is an excellent, sturdily-built piece of equipment. It is heavy, weighing about 44 pounds and needs a sturdy, dedicated space to live on in your craft or sewing room. (It does have cutouts for handle to use when you need to move it...but it is heavy!). My review is targeted to the use of this machine for cutting fabric pieces (although it will cut paper, thin balsa wood, aluminum cans, etc. with ease). It works with both the Sizzix quilting dies and the Accuquilt Go! dies, along with all sorts of Sizzix papercrafting dies (some accessories may be required to use thinner dies and the Accuquilt dies). It cuts perfect quilting shapes of fabric up to 8 layers thick. The quilting dies allow for a 1/4" seam allowance. It takes very little effort to crank the die through the machine. It can be very confusing as to which version of the Big Shot PRO to purchase. Know that the quilting edition is the same exact machine as the regular Big Shot PRO - the difference with the quilting edition is that it comes with an longer or "extended" cutting "tray" in order to use the the 25" long dies. For cutting long strips (length of fabric), and 8 layers x multiples of common quilt patches, the 25" long dies work great! The extended tray set-up is interchangeable with the standard tray set-up, though, so whichever you order, you can always get the other tray later. This is not a very portable machine to take to quilting club or class - if you are looking for something to transport or if you have very limited space, consider the Big Shot - it will handle many of the quilting dies and the 25" dies (but not the extra wide dies). The dies can be expensive....from $15 to $60 or more each, but these are handcrafted cutting dies and they cut with precision and should last for thousands of cuts. You cannot use the machine without purchasing the dies. Whenever you see that a die will fit the "Big Shot," know that it will also fit the Big Shot Pro. Another confusion is about the cutting mats. The mats are a must for the machine and they are a consumable item, so you want to order extra mats. The quilting version comes with the large, extended mats. I recommend purchasing a set or two of the standard mats to use with the majority of the quilting dies and perhaps the 25" slimmer mats for the strip dies. The cutting mats are an acrylic-like material that feed through the machine and provide the pressure for the die to cut the fabric. The die also cuts into the cutting mat (as it is designed to do) so the mats eventually wear out. I love this machine because it allows me to quickly cut precise pieces with the seam allowance. (I can never get precise cuts using my rotary cutter). I can cut out 8 layers of a quilt piece in a few seconds!! There is very little waste if you plan the placement of your fabric. It was a bit pricey and was a luxury item for me as I am a casual quilter. The value compared to the costwould more likely be fully realized by someone who creates quilt kits to sell, is a highly prolific piecer, or who has physical limitations that do not allow for the use of scissors or rotary cutting. I am happy with my purchase though and recommend it to fellow quilters.

The Multi-Bin Organizer is an asset to my papercrafting and sewing. It holds scissors, pens, pencils, a skinny waterbrush, and other small items. It will not, however, hold the decorative-blade scissors I had hoped it would, thus my rating of "good." Self-assembly was easy, and once it's popped together, it is sturdier than I thought it would be. I think it's overall best use is for pens and pencils, esp my colored pencils which I use daily. Pens that are larger in diameter do not fit, just slim ones. I'm glad I purchased it, and I keep finding both sewing and crafting items that fit right into it. At a glance, I can see what I have.

I sent this one as a gift to a friend that is vision impaired. She says it works very well. I have one that I have used a few years. Only mine doesn't have the light. I recommend this product for anyone that needs help with reading or doing crafts or sewing. They are hands-free and easy to adjust.

I measured before ordering, and though it does cover my sewing machine, the fit makes using the pockets impossible. Other than that, at least my machine is covered.

I purchased this item for my sewing room to put rolls of stabilizer for my embroidery on. It works really well. In fact I have ribbons and several different things on it as it is larger than I had envisioned. It went together very easily and it is hanging on the wall. I love it! If my room was big enough I would have another!

I was pleased with the quality of the products in the OLFA Rotary Essentials Kit.Since I am now disabled and have more time on my hands, I decided to get back to crafting (quilting and sewing). I had always wanted a cutting mat and rotary tools, so finding these handy tools in one set was a bonus and a good deal, too. The mat did have a strong odor, so I placed it on the patio for a few days and sprayed it with Frebreze, which helped. When I cut paper on the mat with the rotary tool for a Valentine's Day project, the paper did have a tendency to slide, but perhaps fabric won't slip as much. Also, I might have been pressing too hard with the cutter. I'm enjoying the products overall.

I misplaced my previous lip edge craft ruler and was pleased to find this ruler. I love the sturdy, clear plastic material, making it easy to see the material underneath. I love the lip edge, making it easy to square up before cutting. Very glad to have this craft ruler to assist me in my sewing, etc. projects.

It was my mistake. I thought this kit came with the ruler as others do. I'm just putting it out there so somebody else doesn't go looking for the ruler like I did. I haven't used this yet but I could feel the quality through the plastic. I like that's there are two cutters--regular and small; I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of them. I'll just have to buy the ruler separately. No biggie. I'm happy.

Very pretty design. Instructions are normally what a cross stitch project would be. All materials are included, needle too. The only problem I had was figuring out the colors of the thread. Some of the colors are very, very similar to the eye such as blue-green and green-blue. It helps to have a craft store where you can go buy floss and look at the colors by number. The project will probably take three months or less for someone who sews a lot. Myself, I think it will take me at least six months if not a year. It is not a beginners project.

I have not used these for any sewing projects which is why I gave only 4 stars. I've been using these for arts and craft projects with my kids, and they absolutely love them!

As this is a woven interfacing it is perfect to strengthen fabric. I like the cotton surface. Easy to use and a very good description on the 'how-to'. Recommendable for crafting sewers or people who love to sew bags and more.

I have gotten back into sewing and my mother turned me on to this machine! I haven't sewn much in many years but this machine made it like riding a bike! Very descriptive in the usage manual. Made it so easy to get back into the craft!!
