I ordered this Brother sewing machine for our crafts group at church. It was easy to set up and works fine. This is a good basic machine and a great price.

I was looking for a machine with which I could do costume garment construction and another crafts of that sort. I've since completed 2 costume projects with this machine. To be clear: this is a no-frills machine. With its limited number of stitches and the limited number of "fancy" features, the machine itself performs perfectly. It will sew through multiple, thick layers (I did 8 layers of poplin without trouble) but also handles fine fabrics (like silks) without snags. I'm trying to avoid having a machine with electronics - not only is that one more thing that can break and limit the life of your machine, my sewing needs don't really require it. If you're looking to do fancy quilting, this machine probably isn't what you're going for. But if you're looking to sew garments, costumes or other crafts that require nothing more than some zig-zag and straight pastiches, this is your machine. I have no doubt I'll be able to keep this machine and use it for my lifetime.

I purchased this product as an entry level sewing machine for a first time sewing machine user based on user reviews. It has a number of different stitches built in and is easy to use and thread. Has a built in needle threader which is amazingly simple in design but works great. The machine sews well doing basic hems on lightweight fabrics. It struggles doing seams for jeans though, which are much thicker. But if you take your time you can get through them. I plan on buying a stronger machine because I like sewing with a sewing machine and being able to hem my own pants!

Table was very easy to assemble. I have no table space to sew and do my crafts (painting and jewelry) other than my office desk and the dining room table which was very awkward. This table works perfectly and because it is on wheels and the arm closes down, I am able to stash it in a closet when not in use. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and am considering buying one for my mom. Price is also very reasonable. Thanks again "O".

Out of the box, one of the top arms was not properly inserted under the metal ring, and this is not something that one could fix at home. It was clearly something that should have been caught at the factory. The whole thing is made of this light wood, which is fine, including the clamps that hold it down to the table, and height adjustment clamp. Being cheap wood, there is no way you can tighten it enough to hold it down, and I can imagine that this would only get worse. Although since it didn't work out of the box, not sure how it could get much worse! Shipping also took over 2 weeks. In the meantime I had ordered an amish-swift on another site, just like this: http://www.overstock.com/Crafts-Sewing/Amish-Design-Wooden-Yarn-Swift/6203888/product.html. Not only is it cheaper, takes up less room, it works like a charm. Much simpler design too - really nothing can go wrong with it.

I misplaced my previous lip edge craft ruler and was pleased to find this ruler. I love the sturdy, clear plastic material, making it easy to see the material underneath. I love the lip edge, making it easy to square up before cutting. Very glad to have this craft ruler to assist me in my sewing, etc. projects.

These scissors are just the right weight for cutting fabric. They are really sharp and easy to handle even with my arthritis. They cut various thicknesses easily and precisely. I would recommend them to anyone sewing or crafting.

I saw a fellow quilter with one of these at a retreat last month and she had it cleverly packed with all sewing materials you would need for a weekend. I looked at JoAnn's for one, and without a 50% off coupon, their price is almost double what I paid at Overstock. The first shipment arrived with a crack in the bottom, and there was a gash in the outside box. Overstock promptly reviewed my claim and sent me a new one. I don't know if this box will be prone to cracks because of the design - if you hit the sharp corner, or drop it suddenly, will it crack? Maybe with age the plastic becomes brittle? I don't know yet, but I love the "design-your-own" configurations to store craft supplies my way and the large size. I would definitely recommend this to quilters, sewers and crafters.

As this is a woven interfacing it is perfect to strengthen fabric. I like the cotton surface. Easy to use and a very good description on the 'how-to'. Recommendable for crafting sewers or people who love to sew bags and more.

This is a temporary adhesive that works well. There is very little smell. Which is nice when working on several projects. You can spray and leave for several minutes. The adhesive does go away after about 5 minutes. Great product for applique work.

Buying a less expensive dress form I received what I thought I would get....a less expensive dress form . It will do nicely for the light sewing and alterations I do. It is a good value and a good product.

I use these to keep my hands warm at my job as well as when crafting. They are excellent. If you have minor arthritis or joint pain, these work wonders in allowing you freedom to do what you enjoy with sewing, crafts, etc.

I am very pleased with my purchase! I was looking for a sturdy, functional sewing/crafts table and I found it! Putting it together was a little time-consuming, but not at all complicated. I love the fact that it's on wheels and I can just put it away in a closet when not in use. You did it again Overstock! I'll be back again and again!

The picture and description led me to believe this was a grass mat, as in grassy! It is more like a piece of poster board with some grainy green stuff on it. So if you are looking for a grass mat, this is not the one to get.

This sewing machine may be a toy, but it is a sweet toy. It actually sews very nicely and is simple to use. My 7 year granddaughter wanted a sewing machine for a Christmas gift, so I purchased it for her. I showed her how to use it and she does very well with it. She really enjoys making simple things right now. I told her she needs to sew under the supervision of myself, or of her parents until she gets to be a little older. The instructions are very simple and I like the fact that the manual states that you can buy replacement sewing machine needles at any craft store. I did some searching on toy sewing machines, and this one is the most well made machine--it is nice and solid. The foot pedal works well also; you can also plug into an outlet if you do not have batteries. My granddaughter and I are very pleased and would recommend this sweet sewing machine to anyone who is looking for a toy sewing machine, or as a simple "starter" sewing machine to learn how to sew.

The Multi-Bin Organizer is an asset to my papercrafting and sewing. It holds scissors, pens, pencils, a skinny waterbrush, and other small items. It will not, however, hold the decorative-blade scissors I had hoped it would, thus my rating of "good." Self-assembly was easy, and once it's popped together, it is sturdier than I thought it would be. I think it's overall best use is for pens and pencils, esp my colored pencils which I use daily. Pens that are larger in diameter do not fit, just slim ones. I'm glad I purchased it, and I keep finding both sewing and crafting items that fit right into it. At a glance, I can see what I have.
