From the picture above, it looks like this sweater is a bit form-fitting, or at least nipped in at the waist, but it is really more of a "swing" or "babydoll" style, in that it flares toward the waist . This isn't really a criticism; it's cute; though not what I was expecting.
The sleeves are really fascinating. While the sweater is on the whole generously sized, the upper sleeves are rather tight. The bottom half of the sleeves are pleated, so they dangle down from the wrist in an attractive "arty" way, giving the sweater something of a "harlequin" look.
For some reason, between time I placed my order and the sweater arrived, the color available had changed from red to silver. The silver is a pretty silver grey, though, nothing super-shiny, thank god. It suits the style.
Overall, I would describe the sweater as somewhat dressy and pleasingly unusual. If you just want a cardigan to throw on casually, though, this probably isn't the one to buy.
