DKNY Washed Leather Safari Jacket

For three years, I have been searching for a new leather jacket to replace the one I wore out. I have had a tough time of it. Until this one!! Who knew buying something on-line would fit so well? Like a GLOVE!! I am tall and thin. Problem is, if I find a jacket to fit my body, the sleeves are too short. And if I find a jacket to fit my sleeve length, the body is too big. I love this jacket. I lusted after it for a few weeks before I broke down and purchased it. Now that I've received it I'm really happy I decided to buy it even if it is 96 degrees today in Virginia. I keep trying it on asking my husband to tell me how good it looks while I wish for cooler weather. This jacket is beautifully made, with lots of nice touches like brass snaps, elbow patches, leather belt with a brass buckle, and a zippered pocket on the arm. The washed leather has a cool broken-in vintage style, but is not beat up looking like "aged leather" jackets I've seen. It has a nice lining picturing a city scape. This jacket is warm enough to wear most of the time during cold weather, with a tall collar that can be snaped up around your neck and chin, but is light enough to wear open in the early fall just because it looks so good. It runs large enough, I think, to wear a heavier sweater underneath it, which should make it warm enough to wear all Winter (at least here in Virginia). I had never heard of a Belstaff jacket, mentioned by the earlier reviewer, but after I read her review I looked up Belstaff and this jacket does look a lot like a much more expensive and classic Belstaff jacket. Plus it's a DKNY which is a great brand by itself. This a great casual jacket to wear with jeans and boots. It could probably be dressed up enough to wear with a pencil skirt and heels for a kind of "chic tough look," but this isn't a "dressy" jacket. It is a really cool jacket, though, and for today's mainly casual style (at least where I live) I think I am going to get a lot of use out of it. Love, love, love this jacket. I bought it in brown. Great value, great price, great quality. The only very slight criticism I have is that the sleeves seem kind of long. I am a reasonably tall woman (5'8") with long arms and the sleeves seem long even for me. I like long sleeves, and it's easy and resonably cheap to take a jacket to the tailor and have the sleeves hemmed, but if you're a petite person considering purchasing this product you might want to keep this in mind. On the other hand, if you're tall and sleeves are always too short for you, then the sleeves are just another reason to buy this great jacket.

I had been looking for a balstaff leather motorcycle jacket for ages, the problem is that they are SOOOOOOO expensive. When i saw this leather jacket i was blown away- it has the same exact vintage feel and the leather is great. it is kind of distressed which adds to the vintage look, so it looks great with boots and jeans! Great leather to go out in, works for any day outside, or for going out to a bar or event at night. The belt adds to the vintage motorcycle look but i can just as well lose the belt and wear it open.
