C&C California Audra Surplice Women's Dress

Really cute...wish there was a little more room in the arm holes. They're a little tight, but otherwise it's a good fit. Don't think it should have cost quite what I paid for it, though. The material is very comfortable and lightweight for summer.

The dress is made of very soft, and fairly lightweight, jersey knit that is great for a warm spring or summer day. The skirt is lined, however, which makes the dress a little too heavy to wear on a hot day. I have small shoulders and often have a hard time finding a dress that stays up. The way this dress is cut on the top is great in that respect. I don't have to readjust the shoulders ever. The empire waist isn't as slimming as i was hoping for. I think that this is mostly due to the way the skirt is cut. It balloons out slightly when I wear it instead of following an "A" line. Other than that, I'm very happy with the purchase. I am about 5' 1" and weight about 115lbs and the size small fit me very well. The skirt is a little longer on me, roughly 3 inches below my knee, but I usually wear petites which are cut shorter. The longer length of the skirt ooks just fine. Again, I usually wear petites, but the dress fit me very well, most likely because of the way the top of the dress is cut and the stretchiness of the jersey knit. The construction of the dress seems solid, although I've only worn it twice. I put it through the washing machine and the dryer (though the tag says hand wash) and it came out just fine. Overall, a very pretty sun dress/ casual dress for a good price.

I love this dress, my only complaint is that it is a little fuller in the skirt than I imagined. It does make me look a little puffier than usual. But, the top fits well and it is extremely comfortable. I had to order 1 size smaller than I usually get.

This is a wonderful little dress. The fabric is soft and supple and seems to launder well, although it tends to wrinkle, so be sure to pull it out of the dryer quickly. It was a little lower cut that I had anticipated , so since I am heavy in the bust, I do have to layer it with a sleeveless tank. My one concern was that it would be too small in the bust, but it is not. It fits wonderfully. The only drawback to the dress is that the tie at the back is very bulky when actually tied into a bow. It looks pretty, but makes an uncomfortable wad at your back when you try to sit down. Right now, I have worn it just tied into a simple knot, instead of a bow, it still looks nice and isn't so bulky, but I may eventually have my tailor alter this in some way. Also, the small cap sleeves are very pretty and flattering, but they do restrict full range of motion for your arm to a slight degree. Overall I really like his dress and am considering purchasing another in a different color.
